Yeah, just a fantastic episode for O'Brien before they started torturing him. And a perfect character moment for Sisko when he tells Odo not to hurry about catching O'Brien and Tosk. Obviously more in the vein of TNG than the future semi-serialized DS9 structure, but just great.

I've worked with a lot of enterprise programmers, and I'm yet to even meet one who looks at code review more positively than "something that must be done". So I doubt forcing engineers to do an order of magnitude more of it is much good for morale or output quality.

It feels so good to be reading Steven Erikson again. I just like his writing a lot better than any other fantasy writer by a large margin. A little sad he's strayed from the "Well, Dunsparrow shows up and then disappears immediately. No, you will never know anything about her" philosophy though.

Yikes. I don't necessarily care for Adobe, but this is most definitely not it. If you're a professional, you probably have to pay the Adobe license, as unappealing as that might be. If you're not, support real open source software, warts and all. And GIMP is mostly warts.
