We first fed mice 🐭 a pretty bad Western #diet 🍔🍟🥤 for a year and studied their livers. We saw profound changes in genes and proteins related to #inflammation, #fibrosis, #regeneration & #metabolism. Inferred crosstalk between #liver cells was also altered in #MashRoomCafe

We performed single-cell analysis of livers with advanced #MASH, a #cardiometabolic #liver disorder. We found that stellate cells in #MASH livers lose a signaling module that maintains their quiescence and sinusoidal homeostasis <-> hepatic inflammation 🔥 & fibrogenesis 🧶
