finally got back into art again, and decided to do a style test with a newer artstyle we recently picked up. was fun testing different material rendering with this piece. #art #digitalart #oc

the head of the machine is somewhat star shaped, with the bottom elongated to form a more spike shape. along with the top of the head opened with a tangle of wires stretching out above it in an almost-braided appearance. the head is held aloft by a long neck-like limb behind it, only partly visible. it is looking at a screen in front of it.

the hand of the machine is situated in front of the screen. only partly visible holding a pen of sorts, appearing to draw on it. the screen is curved hiding what is being drawn. the screen is lit around its' corners by its' own light, with the only visible part of the screen beaming out white light.

the arm of the machine is strange in its' construction, with long tube-like segments acting as the limb itself and unusual joints further up the arm. a ball-joint can be seen closer to the screen with a circular divot in its' side. and further up the limb a dual set of joints sits, seemingly combined together to form a limb rather than caring for proper construction. with the joint on the inside appearing to be a ball-joint of sorts whereas the one fixed to the outside of the limb seemingly being a socket joint with a rounded exterior.

cables can be seen near the top of the image, barely visible. with a form sat further back only visible via rim-lighting on its' surface, with details of the form being lost to the shadows obscuring it. wires also seem to be attached to it.

a watermark sits in the bottom left of the image: "ravien."

a sketch-esqu drawing of a beast made out of arms and hands in various twisting ways. towards the left the "head" of this thing can be seen, with what appears to be the remnants of an arm sprouting from where a neck should be, eventually splitting into a mouth around what would be the forearm with gnarled teeth of various shapes and a barely-visible eye on its' "tongue". a tiny structure juts from the beginning of the "neck" and attaches to what would be the elbow.

its' torso is a chaotic mess, with a very boney-looking, malformed ribcage and collar bone. an arm attached at the wrist to another arms' shoulder, replacing its' hand, makes up one of its' limbs. ending in a hand that goes off-screen. its' other limb hidden behind the torso, with 2 of its' fingers sat behind it in a claw-like shape.

further down a hand melding with the body sits just behind its' main limbs, and further down a mangled, almost bird-like leg sits, with the fingers being malformed and of varying sizes. a set of hands merged together make up what could be called "wings" on its' back, the fingers curled downward. a long, malformed hand that resembles that of a bats' wing with elongated fingers and stretched out webbing act as a sort of cloak to the rear of this thing, most of the fingers going off-screen.

the skull has a short-ish beak with 2 protruding eyebones, and a square-ish skull shape. the shadows it cast are mostly warped, casting light through the skull's eye socket, with even that threatening to be blotted out by shadow.

the shadows near the beak break into multiple lines, most likely due to multiple light sources.

a drawing of creatures swimming in a pitch black void.

near the upper middle of the image sits a creature with 4 lights adorning its' hide, along with a multitude of spikes seemingly randomly jutting out from its' skin, these same spikes blocking the light's path in multitudes of ways. the creature's body partially hidden in shadow.

just below the strange creatures sits the portion of a jaw of a massive creature, its' form hidden mostly in the darkness surrounding it. its' teeth worn and chipped by time and age, it appears to be charging towards the unaware creature above it.

2, much smaller 'n diminuative creatures swim far in front of the prior creatures, with pinhead lights adorning their fronts, only partially illuminating their surroundings, unlike the spotlights from the larger fish behind them that easily reveals theirs surroundings.

the smaller creatures swim towards a larger light, which is attached to a large tendril, which winds its' way between 2 massive jaws that remain mostly in shadow, much like a majority of this beast's body. another light adorns the top of the unknown thing, which threatens to break the illusion of a free meal. it illuminates very miniscule portions of the jaws that end near it.

CW: vent art "emotionless"

the limb ends in a hook-like shape that's barely able to be made out.

a rough sketch of a strange bird-like creature in a teal void.

the creature's body is mid-motion, seemingly turning to face something. it has a nub-like tail, and long, strange, bony legs. ending in a 4-toed hand-like feet, the joins along the legs being knobby or otherwise lumpy in some way, especially the hip area where the leg connects.

its' arms are far shorter than the legs and notably have only 3 joints and a far more stubby hand, the limbs are far less knobby yet still are still thin and bone-like akin to the legs. one arm is held at a right angle, whereas the other is left limp.

its' neck is long, like that of a swan, with a strange head at the top. it has only one eye in the center of the skull, but has 2 mandibles on the side of its' face reaching towards the mouth, and a beak-like structure for said mouth.

a massive creature of a similar type can be seen in the background beneath the final spotlight, the largest abstract eye holding 4 smaller eyes within. its' size covers the ground beneath, only allowing a portion of the spotlight to illuminate the ground.

the piece is mostly pitch-black, save for some glowing dots of various sizes scattered about and the main light source illuminating the skull, harsh shadows being cast by the skull and the tendrils holding it up.

the skull is in 2 separate pieces, the jaw being held by a different tendril. the skull is at a 3/4ths view, its' eye socket having an open bottom and a small protrusion near the front of it.

the jaw has an open bottom aswell, forming a V-shape, which the tendril that holds it wraps through.

the tendrils end in 4-5ish smaller wires coming out of their ends, with the beginning of these tendrils never seen, completely submerged in shadow.

'nother mask design we did, for more world-building stuff. turns out attempting to do something akin to gemstones in pixel art is far more difficult than with more traditional mediums. pretty happy with it regardless. #art #pixelart #SevaArt

the mask is a stark white, with a dark, burnt orange stripe going down the middle of the mask. curving around the central orbs all the way to the back. aswell as flowing curves in the same dark orange going around the "eyes" of the mask. a curved shape with a dot adorns the edge of the mask in the same color.

a brighter orange decoration goes around the smaller orbs in a branching, almost floral pattern at times. 4 dark orange tassels hang from the sides of the mask, the length of the fabric adorned with small sigil orbs aswell. each ending in 2 hook-like decorations that seem to be metallic.

the eyes of the mask are purple-ish blue gemstones, smoothly cut and full of specks of varying different colors. appearing to look more like the night sky than rocks.

a shawl of sorts is attached to the mask, it is a washed-out reddish color, appearing to extend far inwards. a decent portion of the front of the shawl is covered in shadow due to the long mask above it.

the main, largest sigils on the mask go as follows. 1: an abstract eye shape with a slit pupil surrounded by a 5-pointed, almost crown-like shape with 4 orbs above it, 2 larger orbs sit below the abstract eye.

2: a detailed eye with a rounded pupil and a long teardrop shape extending below it, with a smaller teardrop shape near the bottom. next to the teardrop is a wave-like shape on both sides, parted around the tear, that moved up the side of the orb. another floral design moves to the sides of the eyes, with 4 large orbs near the top, and 2 smaller ones near the sides.

3: a cross-like connecting to the top 'n bottom of the orb with an arch shape, and a diamond-shaped opening near the middle. a floral design is connected to it, appearing to move towards the cross. 4 large orbs sit at diagonals from the center, with 2 smaller ones near the base of the floral designs. a wave-like shape sits in the corners.

the hands of the creature are elongated, and have 4 digits. ending in hook-like claws.

a pixel art sketch of a large, lizard-like creature with a pole-arm next to it.

the creature has a strange head, reminiscent of a bearded dragon in shape, with 2 large eyes near the back and 2 smaller ones near the middle of the head. its nose sits ontop of its' head, above the smaller eyes.

its' neck is somewhat long, but is currently hunched over hiding its' full length. its arms are massive things, same with its' shoulders, appearing like tree-trunks strapped to its' body. the arms end in a 4-fingered hand with massive hooked claws. the creatures' torso is equally as massive as its' arms, with a minor bit of pudge near its' middle

the creatures' legs are bent, leaving the creature in a squatting pose, with its' thighs just as large if not larger than its' arms in width, a foot can be seen below the right leg of the creature, also adorned with vicious hooked claws.

the pole-arm infront of the creature stands straight up, stuck into the ground by the blade. the pole part of the weapon is uneven, lumpy, and has a slight curve, as if though a branch had been chosen at random and hastily fastened to the weapon.

the head of the weapon appears to be taken from another weapon, or otherwise not made with its' current pole in mind. a tassel hangs from the base of the head, and the blade appears to be designed akin to that of a glaive, but with a serrated edge.

its' head has 3 eyes, each of different colors and shapes, all with a dark grey sclera. the largest eye is a green, snake-esqu eye with a slit pupil. the second largest is a purple-ish goat/ram-esqu eye with a rectangular pupil, and the last is a red, cat-esqu eye with a more rounded pupil.

the arms of the creature follow a plantigrade shape, akin to human arms, ending in a 3-toed hand with a small thumb and 2 long fingers, the outermost finger being the longest. all adorned with hook-shaped claws.

a massive version of these sigil orbs sits at the top of the head.

other sigil orbs are scattered about the mask, 4 near the sides and 4 on-top of the base where long strands of fabric protrude from the mask, each strand of fabric terminating in a small arrow-shaped symbol and 3 smaller tassels.

4 small, tusk-like protrusions sit across the mask, 2 closest to the beak of said mask, and the other 2 being closer to the back of it.

blue-ish gray fabric is attached to the mask like a shawl, potentially to hide the appearance of the wearer, with an opening near the mask to allow the face through.

the "black side" of the piece has a strange, tar-like creature barely sustaining its' form in the center. protruding from a mound on a long, hunched over gangly limb-neck-thing, with smaller supporting pieces trying to keep it upright, with it ending in a large misshapen mass with countless eye-like structures dotting its' surface.

the body of this creature is also covered in thin, wiry strands akin to that of the surface of torn jeans or spider webbing, they connect between any large gap between pieces on the body, creating a hellish mess of strands combining and intertwining in countless ways.

2 other creature-like structures also protrude out of the blackness, the one on the far right going straight up, and looking like a small, malformed bird-like head and neck akin to that of a crane or other long-necked bird. it too is dotted with eyes, though only 4 compared to the uncountable amount of the central one.

the last one on the right being more akin to that of an open mouth of a lizard or turtle-esqu beast, with the same strands coating the opening of its' mouth nearly entirely, along with it also having its' own assortment of eyes.

black goo-like dots 'n globs of various shapes and sizes drift towards the top of the image, and sometimes off of some of the creature-like protrusions.

the "white side" has one creature in its' center, with a 6-pointed star-like head, with the points curving around akin to that of a rotary gear of some kind, along with a smaller, more hook-like shaped pupil in the center of it, following the direction of the points of the star mostly.

its' body being a mostly unintelligible blob held up by long strands connecting it to the rest of the white void, with the black goo oozing upwards and out of it, towards the top of the image.

a WiP pixel art bust sketch of a human and machine amalgam. the face of the machine looks at an upward angle, and is covered partially by the painful looking appearance of the person it has melded with, also gazing upward.

the skin and bone contorts and bends around the circumference of the head of the machine, only one eye in its' now-skeletal looking socket remains intact, the other eye's pupil horrifically bloated and stretched, the iris appearing to have vanished into the pupil.

thin, wiry strands of sparse hair protrude from what remains of the scalp.

the rest of the body is covered in the same liquid-esqu skin, lumpy and uneven, it stretches and bends across the surface, or otherwise becoming the surface. parts of the skin sag, not held with the same tension as other parts.

only portions of the machine can be seen, most notably the pauldron of the right arm and it's connective parts only remain partially uncovered, akin to the head.
