iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

It's not intelligence, LLM is just really specific googling. It's all no more intelligent than the technology we've already had. It's all just improved tooling to find and synthesize results. Or not, what do I know ..

This is what I've been thinking about the "slop code" complaints. There is so much ego and opinions in the engineering world. The fact of the matter is that code tends to be "good enough" and meets the end user expectations, not whatever ideal code some vocal engineers expect to see.

He's done plenty of collabs with dubious people that at this point I don't think any conservative gun commentators are thinking this anymore

Blast from the past! I remember when it was a staple for setting up and cleaning things. At some point it became obsolete didn't it? Happy to have moved on to linux

The audience for the course is not the people that listen to the siren song

Did work with Claude code today in languages it should know well, baby sitting and steering all day long. There's no one shot prompting. It can do a lot and at a glance look cool, but not even looking at code quality there is a ton of revising needed. Still a multiplier tho!

I didn't know this existed and now both need and don't need to try it, thanks

Too real. How do we deal with this tho? Considering how ubiquitous this will be, and business outcomes > Dev experience

My daughter snuck a lot of candy into my cart and I thought I got it all. How bad is this?

Finally made a childhood favorite sticky rice dish called biko. Doesn't make for good pictures but sure does slap.

Lol I was literally saying this to my wife today, now that I'm a dad I have the power to shut down memes like 6-7. Unfortunately my daughter already doesn't like that meme so I'll keep my powder dry.

Not a dog owner but I pat my cat and it makes him go feral. I just like to rile him up.

Similarly my experience has been buying the new fancy flavors and realizing I've already had the flavor at some point in my life, they just renamed it. I still eat the whole bag but the next one will always be sour cream and onion.

Why not both? Its a range and the velocity of your work with llm is up to you. It's just very easy for AI to rob you of learning from the process.

It highlights what should have been devalued. It's like cover letters for jobs, usually it shouldn't be needed and the resume should show enough to indicate qualifications. If it was of value then requirements would be no AI, and no AI reviewing.

Now I don't know if skill issue on my end or others, maybe I'm not as power a user as I thought, even as a Linux user. Like what is harder? I will take it over Windows any day.

Yeah, still good for a nice umami kick. They've got a mushroom one I like as well. I saw you were using rotisserie chicken for broth, what's your take on the classic vegetable scraps broth method? I have yet to try but I'm hesitant to load up my freezer with waste.

Ah that is fair! To be honest I haven't had a good vegetarian broth myself and don't really make like any "broths" with it, more like direct seasoning

Have you tried better than bouillon? The vegetable base is my go-to
