Time travel is possible - tonight I teleported back in time to the late 1970s and watched the 1970s Packers lose to the Atlanta Falcons. I wasn’t 7 years old, I was still 55, but the team on the field played exactly like the late 1970s Packers I watched as a child…..

I’ve seen a lot of people mocking Angel Reese including allegedly NBA all star players - funny though how silent they are as she set a mark only 3 nba players have ever hit. The allegedly nba all star isn’t one of them…. Criticism of bad play is one thing, but you have to cheer when they succeed

I do expect the Grizzlies to be better this year, but how much remains to be seen. There will be growing pains. I’m seeing the craziest articles and podcasts in which they’ve magically become a playoff contender with 3 bonafide starters and I hope that is correct, but history says that’s unlikely.

It took 4 years to recover from the first Trump administration - I’m not sure we will ever truly recover from this one. Democracy has been destroyed. Since the two party system is one does legislation and the other obstructs, it will take decades of dedicated effort to restore it.

It’s become abundantly clear AI novel writing remains a joke. The brief story idea ones write something that has absolutely nothing to do with the idea given. The longer ask many question ones are slightly better, they at least write something related to the idea. However, more costly still meh.

Capitalism died in the mid 90s, we passed laws in the early 1900s to prevent mega corporations - in fact when they got to a certain size they had to split. In the 90s, they complained they couldn’t keep pace with Chinese companies and Congress struck down the laws that had worked for 80+ years.

Season 1 of Reacher was solid. Season 2 was solid. Season 3 was unwatchable. Finally in season 4 they have brought back the sauce from seasons 1 and 2 and quite frankly made it better!

Let me start by saying I like the Lioness series. However, it was jarring that in episode 2, three of the women are naked in the first 15 minutes but none of the guys were. They have previously done mixed nudity scenes but this time only the actresses were and it was distracting.

Starship flight 13 was not flawless - not all engines lit on first stage splashdown - but seeing the upper stage land and float was special! They are still a long way from rapid reusability, but it was definitely progress which we need to get data centers in space, it’s too costly on earth….

Watching Star City on Apple TV about the Soviet Space Program really opened my eyes on how the Trump administration operates. 1) listen to private conversations and extrapolate a crime. 2) beat, torture, and imprison “those criminals” 3) if later you discover you got it wrong, kill the suspect

Star City season 1 was very good. They did a great job going both over Russian paranoia of spies and the brilliance they accomplished. I’m glad I don’t there yet - who knows with America’s current trends if we don’t end up becoming Russia part 2, but the balance of paranoia and brilliance was good.

I didn’t agree with 2 Memphis Grizzlies draft picks, even though I suspected the first one would occur. In a draft full of high potential, they went the “safe” route. It’s just summer league, plenty of players look great there and don’t pan out, but so far it appears they went further backwards…

I would be more excited about Tony Dinozzo returning to NCIS if the Tony & Ziva series hadn’t been so awful. Bosch prequel same story as both the final season of Bosch and spinoff hadn’t been so bad. Still the era of this prequel have me intrigued and of course I’ll continue to watch NCIS.
