Hatred of trans people is now just part of the foul air we all have to breathe, as in the AI slopaganda from the upcoming election in Aotearoa New Zealand:

Don’t miss Dunedin if you’re anywhere nearby; it has a glorious and layered aesthetic that looks great on camera, especially in black amd white.

Well, this is (sadly predictable) hateful bullshit. Leave trans people out of your reheated American Red Scare bullshit, you absolute fucking freaks. #nzpol

Karori, 2026 #photography #cemetery #wellington #nz There’s a fascinating research/art project documenting and studying the things people leave on graves just waiting for someone with the time to do it.

Raw iPhone photograph of two small painted porcelain birds on a concrete grave.

Her HPE curriculum also strongly suggests she thinks queer people are gross, or simply don’t exist.

I saw a Golliwog doll at a pharmacy in my first day in Dunedin in 2004, and it shocked me.

He’s not serious, of course. He’s just grifting and/or signalling to his depraved, gullible base.

I also smell a distinct whiff of “but teachers are transing the kids!” eugenics/culture war bullshit hiding just out of sight?

Raul (he/him) @raulbview.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

At its core, this shit is soft eugenics, except when they forget about the soft part.

I would absolutely love to live in a world where some of the world’s most powerful people weren’t hellbent on destroying my daughter and lots of her friends.

Dunedin knows the assignment. Good on ya’, Dunners.

Parents and whānau of trans kids feel this impact, too, if at a remove. I would genuinely love if nobody - other than right-wing freaks, who deserve to be afraid - ever had to feel it ever again.

Assume you know about the old (pretty well hidden) gun tunnels out there? One of my favourite spots in Dunners. Good on ya’ for getting back out there.

I was born in the country these asshats are trying to build. It’s called the United States of America and is a facist hellhole for many of its prople. I left there more than twenty years ago and have no intention of staying here if the asshats succeed in dismantling what’s left of Aotearoa.

But … metaphorically, of course.
