Wait there are non-rulebreaker legends in mystery booster?? I must have missed a whole bunch of cool cards

#MTGMoxtober day 7 - Cauldron. It's both my worst deck so far but also my favourite. started with a scryfall for all cauldrons and saw the C of Eternity, thought of Grenzo and then assembled bits to make a dedicated cauldron (but not that one) combo deck. moxfield.com/decks/t83GBo...

Weekends too busy with the baby to brew decks, but back on #MTGMoxtober again today with Fire. For this I landed on Zalto, Fire Giant Duke - A bracket 2 speedy-dungeon deck, inspired by the good time I've been having with my Sifris deck recently. moxfield.com/decks/z4XMZO...

Yeah a few times when we had to play 5 player games. I prefer doing Bang style roles for a 5 player game now though (King, Knight, Bandit,Bandit, Assasin)

Day2 of #MTGMoxtober, prompt is Double. Tried a budget Riku deck first, hence the thumbnail, but landed on a Simic only Miirym build I'd wanted to try for a while. Sadly more fun in concept than execution but at least now I know! moxfield.com/decks/XVGwwV...

This sounds fun, the closest thing I can make to art is edh decks so I'm going to try and brew a budget deck for every prompt!

I thought it would be fun brew a deck every day inspired by the prompt list - Day 1 is Witches so we took the lowest rank Witch on EDHRec, and then built it out of scryfall trawling, vibes and a budget! #MTGMoxtober moxfield.com/decks/ivOggx...

Anticausal vestige is another one I think is worth mentioning, you can warp it in as essentially a Solemn Simulacrum and then keep flickering for more draw and ramp/cheating costs

Im so mad about this redesign, it's so crap in every way! It used to be my goto site to recommend but I don't think I can anymore

I'm gonna do the radical thing of just read the headline but then Agree with you instead.

Spelunky 1+2 are perfect games, or Caveblazers if you want something a bit more loose and random but with a similar vibe

000

shaun [bracket enjoyer] @rattulator.bsky.social · 07/08/2026

Jesus, I used to always do that in the past, then I bought a new one and it had instructions to always put a mug of water in there with it. I thought it was being overly dramatic but apparently not

Oh man the mental flashbang, i got the PC Demo disc for this in a cereal box and played it with my dad a bunch, thankyou for the reminder!

Instant and sorceries I will often refer to as spell-spells, or even just say spells and let the context imply that I mean instants and sorceries, especially if I'm talking about an izzety card

Blue is definitely in need of a stronger identity, but for me personally I would like to see more black win conditions that aren't Gary or Syr Konrad

shaun [bracket enjoyer] @rattulator.bsky.social · 31/07/2026

oh its MULTIPLE spells??? ive seen this card many times over multiple days and only just clocked that, the hype makes so much more sense now!

shaun [bracket enjoyer] @rattulator.bsky.social · 31/07/2026

The fact you didn't repost it tho! The question is, better or worse than Sram?

Fixed dockside extortionists are like buses, you wait ages for one and then two turn up in the same set...

shaun [bracket enjoyer] @rattulator.bsky.social · 26/07/2026

I was ready to buy the monster hunter cards the first time round purely for art style, and a dota 2 set would get me good, but the only thing I would actually go fanboy feral for though would be a dune set, I for sure thought EoE would get a companion Dune UB Secret Lair!

This card and Queen of Dale, white value ladies are out in force this set.

They do! They just cost Upwards of £50 and come with ~8 booster packs... 🙃

The rare set I will buy random treat packs for, just to send the message that they need to make more like it

shaun [bracket enjoyer] @rattulator.bsky.social · 23/06/2026

I don't know what bracket you're aiming at, but I love eternal scourge synergies/combos even if they are slow and janky

000

shaun [bracket enjoyer] @rattulator.bsky.social · 22/06/2026

I can barely function at anything over 28... And some people will still say to stop complaining and just enjoy it, it drives me insane!

000

shaun [bracket enjoyer] @rattulator.bsky.social · 09/06/2026

Thats not gonna stop me making 6 proxies and trying it in every deck I can, I want to believe!

000

shaun [bracket enjoyer] @rattulator.bsky.social · 07/06/2026

When my sister was young said if we were rich we could eat Harvester every day, so we then on referred to going to a Harvester as "pretending we're rich"... Thinking about it now, it feels like a very dad coded place, something about"free" salad that tricks kids into eating it.

Once upon a GP when they were still called GPs, I spent all my prize tix on a kaladesh masterpiece Solemn. I love that guy, he's still solid in my Muldrotha deck. Also, Embermouth Sentinel is some very cool tech I didn't know about, definitely gonna have to find spots for him in a couple of decks

000

shaun [bracket enjoyer] @rattulator.bsky.social · 21/05/2026

Oh god, does this mean I never experienced hell queue despite playing good cards is because I'm just ass??

010

shaun [bracket enjoyer] @rattulator.bsky.social · 20/05/2026

In defence the omenpaths set, it did make proxying out the Spiderman cards much easier, and I would have loved to have had one for Turtles

011

shaun [bracket enjoyer] @rattulator.bsky.social · 20/05/2026

Boooooo, now I have to make my own in-universe proxies!

000

shaun [bracket enjoyer] @rattulator.bsky.social · 15/05/2026

It went away? I know it stopped being referenced on cards but didn't realise that meant it was officially gone, where does floating mana live at the moment??

000

shaun [bracket enjoyer] @rattulator.bsky.social · 14/05/2026

I'm not a big RPG guy any more but I hear Avowed and Tainted Grail: Fall of Avalon are both very Bethesda-like. Tainted Grail has a free demo which I did enjoy, it felt like oblivion all over again

000

shaun [bracket enjoyer] @rattulator.bsky.social · 09/05/2026

Simic is definitely the training wheels colour pair, you play it so you can taste what's possible in commander and then move on to trying to reach those same heights with more interesting flavours of colour combination

000

shaun [bracket enjoyer] @rattulator.bsky.social · 08/05/2026

Parting gust/Touch the spirit realm worth a try? Also maybe some number of the Not-Dead-After-All-likes?

000

shaun [bracket enjoyer] @rattulator.bsky.social · 07/05/2026

Do you use troll trader cards much? I tend to order a couple of weeks post new set drop and It's rare that they don't have stock in my experience. Caveat that Ive abandoned 60 card and card market since Brexit, I always found any savings vs a dedicated site were wiped out by multiple postage costs

000

shaun [bracket enjoyer] @rattulator.bsky.social · 02/05/2026

This is definitely a 1 copy 10 proxies situation I fear

100

shaun [bracket enjoyer] @rattulator.bsky.social · 27/04/2026

Those first two are actually pretty reasonable though, I wouldn't bat an eye

010

shaun [bracket enjoyer] @rattulator.bsky.social · 27/04/2026

I can see thoughtseize having a very high internal salt score, but even so, that does not seem proportional!
