Day one learning to skate as an adult: stood in my skates for a few minutes too scared to move. Did some balance drills in my skates. Practiced standing from sitting on the ground. Got comfortable moving a little. Reminded myself a million times to bend my knees and keep my ass out. Fall count: 1

I think i manage well 99% of the time but oh my god it sucks having uncontrolled chronic pain. Theres no good treatment for the underlying cause of my pain, non opiate pain medications straight up do not work, and i refuse to take opiates (personal choice based off addiction family history/ risk)
