i don’t know if i liked HOPE but i feel anyone confused by it didn’t watch enough b movies in their formative years. it’s not a sci fi epic it’s a big budget syfy original, an action comedy. there’s like a five minute scene of an old guy talking about how he had to shit really bad

beyond the graphics, it’s gonna be weird pushing around all the giant cubes in this one huh. like putting mario from odyssey into mario 64. pressing x to easily jump across some indistinct rocks vs lining up approach + rolling at the right time to not miss the edge of a distinct square platform

rewatching porco rosso. not only is it beautiful and only 90 minutes long, but i think a big thing that draws me to porco (and cagliostro) is that it’s mostly about adults in relatively grounded settings
