Notably Cody beat the tar out of me for a good 30 minutes before I got myself together for a couple of wins.

Here's the pod of drafters, a crazy board state, and some hands you could see yourself. Thank you everyone who tried out my cube, I appreciate you taking the chance on it! 3/3

I'll be making changes to the cube to remove a few more low power cards on the environment, maybe try to add some more avenues for archetype mixing. 2/3

Pod 2 of Options Cube was this morning, and they had a brief break before I showed up to bug them during their rounds. I'm so happy people enjoyed my cube, I really appreciated getting to chat with drafters on card selection, gameplay, and drafting thoughts. 1/3

Last bit of gaming was some fast games of Dredge Dredge with me and @theothercody.bsky.social in the exhausted bracket. Cubecon rules, don't miss it next year!

Day 4 of #cubecon is in the books! Last draft was the 6 Drop Cube, I assembled UBw graveyard and suspend value. Trying to find a curve inside all 6 drops was interesting, and the fight to cast first was harsh. Ended 1-1-1.

You're in @aquaone.bsky.social's powered cube, you're in blue but need some juice and open this for your last pack. How many of you answer the siren call of yet another pack?

Options Cube got drafted yesterday at #cubecon, and I got to pester the pod for their favorite card(s) from their deck. Love these picks!

Surprisingly ended up in top 128 so I finally ranked some cubes and ended up in Aquaone Powered. My draft was poor and I ended up in UB no-combo and got an 0-3. Pod vibes were excellent despite us being totally exhausted by that point. This cube is always fun to draft, do not miss it!

Draft #4 was Old Border Foil Cube, where I drafted Sultai Living Death. This deck slapped, cycling the big creatures for singular reanimation was a good secondary plan. My first 3-0 at CubeCon! Using Buried Alive to drop Wonder into my graveyard ruled.

150

Day 3 of #cubecon is in the books! Draft #3 was A Brooding Saga where I drafted UBwr in order to loop Replenish and Time Warp. This deck was fantastic to play, and used an awful lot of brain power. 2-1 losing only to aggro. Favorite play was Enlightened Tutor for Valgavoth's Lair.

2133

I'm hearing tales of this guy drafting crazy good decks at #cubecon, who's behind the mask??

080

I'm hoping to see Options Cube drafted in the next two days, I want to chat with drafters in it!

020

Third was the Kiwi cube, apparently cards picked by a bird named Kiwi that had its list obscured from us beforehand. I waffled between grixis madness and sultai mulching and ended up running sultai discard value. A lot of cards I enjoyed in this cube! 1-2 ending, unfortunately.

150

Second was the Clean Evergreen cube, lower power and simpler interactions. I thought I was getting good cards for UR spells but it turns out I was passing left to someone in my colors. 0-2 bye, unfortunately. I felt like this was well designed.

130

Day two of #cubecon in the books! First up was The Good Old Days cube, one I've drafted before as it's curated by Madison native Fritz. I started with Akroma and found reanimator to be very open, running to a good 2-1 finish. Faced RG monsters, Rw Goblins, and UW control. I loved this deck.

1101

Little bonus from yesterday's #cubecon, the actual factual painting from @jordanlablond.bsky.social our playmats are printed from! You can see it by the prize wall. (though you can't spend tickets to get it) She's knocked it out of the park yet again, I can't wait to see my playmat!

091

Last was the Proclamation of Rebirth bar cube, where all creatures are 1cmc and you have 3 Procs in your pool. I first picked Norin, Swift Survivalist and ventured into aggro. The effect of forecasting was really cool, I think I'd go for more value next time.

Second cube was the 1UP cube. I struggled in this one, with both of my neighbors cutting my colors and difficulty evaluating cards for a game starting at 1 life. 0-2 into bye.

Day 1 of #cubecon is in the books! I'm asking each of my opponents for a picture with their favorite card in the deck they drafted. First up is The Chrome Wars, I drafted a decent UB artifacts deck with Urza and Quantum Riddler, going 1-1-1 to lose to our 3-0 drafter in the finals.

Ma'am your greenhouse garden is delightful. Could I ask for tips on how to pick/design a good greenhouse enclosure? Once we have space my wife has plans for one.

I can't speak for the rest of you but my LGS has had fantastic attendance for Secrets of Strixhaven draft. We've had a consistent 3 pods each week since release! The decks I've cobbled together have been a blast, and I'm gearing up for my pre-Cubecon voting update.

Baltimore's got pit beef, too. That's a sandwich worth moving for.

My opinion on the card is based on how badly I got blown out by it recently so I'm anti-Orthanc right now thanks to Emrakul.

If your card requires a flow chart to be understood...

Got to draft Lorwyn Eclipsed last night and was finally convinced that Ashling deserves a spot in Options Cube. Starting a turn with the decision point of flipping the card was a real highlight.

The most humbling thing about STS2 is that my win rate goes up if I use the boss reward that plays my cards from left to right

All I'd want to add to this is a Doppelgang. Love me some recursive nonsense.

@magicstorytime.bsky.social I've been jamming a Thunderous Wrath list for years at this point and was wondering if you've ever come across it. I saw someone else discussing it on a discord and immediately put it together. What do you think? moxfield.com/decks/QRtGYj...

We had some of the most beautiful snow I've ever seen this week. Not only were the flakes perfectly formed, they were large enough to sparkle on the ground, maybe 1/8" tall. Watching what looked like glitter rain from the sky was wonderful.

A picture of snow on a sidewalk, with large individual flakes shining on the ground.

Belated post but I got to chaos draft with my friends back home this weekend! In a 7-pod I ended up in Rakdos Sacrifice through a pair of first picks from MOM and EOE. Next up for us, a weekend of cardboard next time I'm home. (Name redacted to protect the innocent: me)
