Well, it was a good season until the end. See you next spring, Cubbies. If there isn’t a lockout, of course. 🙄😑

Woke up from yet another wild dream. My brain is a strange place.

ZAK @raszak76.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

Had a really great talk with my homie about this idea earlier today. We’re both trying to do better with our responses.

Thinking about turning 50 a lot, especially about the things that shaped me. One particular consideration is ALL of the music I’ve heard. The “oldies” station in Chicago (Magic 104.3 back then) was a constant. I distinguish doo wop and crooning from rock n roll. But these songs formed me…

Might be tempted to go out after work tonight. Been a minute since I’ve done that.

As I approach 50 and think about what I’ve experienced and what’s gotten me where I am and how I understand myself and my place in this crazy world, I recognize that watching music videos on The Box shaped me in dope ways.

Already laughing at the thought of putting k-tape on my own back before I go to work later. Not expecting to be successful; but damn it, I’ll try.

Crib to myself this weekend and in my lounge clothes before 6 again. Pool with @foxmarks.bsky.social was good, but being home already is the move.

Someone at the spot played a live version of I Can’t Go for That (No Can Do) that was well over 15 minutes long. Extended ‘80’s sax solo in full effect.

In high school, I ran the 600 meters against Reggie Torian at an indoor track meet. He went on to run track professionally. Antwaan Randle El and Cecil Martin were at that meet, too, but different events. Antwaan didn’t even run like that, he was just getting ready for baseball season. Crazy athlete

Just because people come to the same conclusion about something, it doesn't mean that our interests are the same and it's dangerous to assume they are.

Pretty things spotted on my morning run.

A fully bloomed white with pink trim with another partially bloomed friend right in front of it. The flower is surrounded by green leaves.

White dahlia with pink and lavender trim.

Just arrived somewhere to give a presentation only to be informed that there are not enough participants to hear the presentation. My immediate frustration was overcome by the fact that it’s a gorgeous fall day and I ain’t gonna let the minor annoyance distract from the beauty around me.

Lovely observations during my walking of the dog earlier…

My arm extended, holding a branch full of green leaves with red tips.

No clue what this is but it looked cool. Leafy plant with red stalks growing

A plethora of red and yellow and violet and orange flowers along with green plants

A vintage green two seater bike with a basket full of orange flowers and a pot of multicolored flowers behind the back wheel. The bike is resting on a tall tree with a chain link fence behind it.
