Right now, it’s really up to him. All we can do is be here for him, support him, and encourage him to get the help he needs. I think that’s the hardest part of all knowing you can’t make someone take that step, no matter how much you love them or want to help.

I keep thinking I’m living in a Black Mirror episode, except it’s the one where the writers lost the plot and decided realism was optional. Every time I think, “Surely this is too ridiculous,” somehow it gets worse. At this point, I’m not even sure there’s anything left that could surprise us.

Some parts of motherhood are not celebratory at all. They’re just loving people through pain and hoping connection keeps finding its way back. Some days motherhood is less about feeling appreciated and more about continuing to love people through things you cannot fix for them. ❤️
