The problem with the #gamedev industry: AAA studios and AA publishers, leadership is not in the business of making games - the teams under them are. Instead, their goal is pleasing the shareholders. Here profit is not enough, constant growth is key. Those are two very different priorities.

Years ago, someone on Reddit claimed that the best surprise you can give a man is a hug he didn’t ask for. The point being that male culture is mostly transactional and a free hug therefore holds extra surprise value. I still think about that from time to time.

I rebuilt a 10+ year-old creative writing prompt generator and added a writing mode, in case you get a prompt you like. This version runs on a tiny 8K transformer model, built from scratch and trained on data recycled from my old tool. Write out a scene: ras.ms/prompts
