The race pseudoscientists barely even make a pretence of attempting to do scientific research. They simple repeat the same positions in writing each time while dismissing or ignoring the mainstream scientific work that discredits their claims. Always another "race is like dog breeds 🤦🏿‍♂️"

We're miles behind on AI regulation for sure. I don't think the appetite is there to regulate it, and neither is the understanding of it. The people who really get it are currently hired or too in-demand for government to compete for them.

There are a lot of more use cases. A lot of projects that may have required months of work for teams of 10-12, with their footprint in commute and everything that. Now some of that can be done by a couple engineers with AI in a month or less. Overall less impact I think.

AI access inequality is already a major issue in terms of increased personal productivity. A person with a lot of access to AI tools can do so much more and more quickly, compared to a person with the free versions of things like Claude or ChstGPT.
