I also just found out that there’s more than one version of the epilogue? Interesting. I wasn’t that interested in a Chaos and LaLa book before, but the potential set-up in the epilogue makes me intrigued. Even though there’s more than one version 😅. I’d read anything in this world though.

I’d say this is a MUCH better way to leave off Evajacks’ story than book 3. I love seeing more of them actually being together and working through some of the issues that were never resolved in the OG ending.

My copy ended up arriving the day before release, so I had a lot of fun binge reading this. Read it in one day. I really loved it! I love this world in general, and I forgot how much I love the characters. Especially Jacks. And him and Eva are SO cute!! And the art makes their moments even cuter.

Did this video set my expectations up weirdly for the actual show since I thought their characters ended up together? Yes (even though they had INSANE chemistry and are basically canon). But I’m still so glad I watched this video before I saw it. It got me appropriately hyped.

As is quite obvious, I’ve been interested in this one newer musical recently 😅. It was so cool live. However, that musical’s fandom has become REALLY crazy ever since I saw it. Pretty sure it inherited fans of a different musical that has an even MORE crazy fandom.

I wouldn’t say I was invested in ALL the characters? Bartholomew’s precious and the abbess is a great villain. Rory was cool too. I saw a certain twist coming since the since early in the book, so I never like a certain “boy” very much. Excited for book 2. I’m sure it’ll be cool.

What I loved most was the world-building. I thought the idea of the Omens and getting to explore each hamlet was SO cool! I also loved Sybil’s character development! She’s great!

I haven’t actually seen anything of the reboot since I’m not in the demographic. I’ve heard it sucks though, which is a shame. I used to love the OG as a kid. Maybe I would’ve watched it if it had been good, even if it’s geared toward kids. But now, I’m meh. Who knows if I’ll try it out or not.

Regarding that character death I mentioned: I just saw that one of the people on charge of the reboot said “I don’t know, maybe he died because old age. Or maybe he didn’t get enough moonlight”.

I’m not as upset as I feel like I should be though? I’m relieved, in a weird way. It means there wasn’t some off-screen breakup for whatever dumb reason. They loved each other still, it just ended tragically.

Honestly, I’ve had a hard time talking about VII recently because I’m trying to distance myself from any crazy drama. I want to try to regain the excitement I feel like I might have lost while I was seeing too much discourse. I want to feel as hyped as possible for Revelation.

But the second I see ANYTHING talking too much about the drama? Can’t do it. Just skip past. I like VII too much to let it be something I can only associate with drama. To me, it’s just a series of fun games with cool characters.

I’m at a point in my VII journey where I’m soooo done with hearing about fandom drama, love triangles, the works. I love VII, but I ONLY want to engage in nice discussions about it. Cute fanart? Amazing. Praise about characters? Cool. I’m even okay with minor debates/criticisms.

The performances in this show??? Phenomenal. Every single actor deserves an award. Plus they had so many well written moments where it’d be even BETTER on a rewatch! I always appreciate that.

I really enjoyed TVL! It was definitely a bit of tonal whiplash, but makes sense considering we changed POVs. I didn’t think EVERYTHING was perfect, like the sudden Armand/Daniel of it all. Plus Daniel was pretty unlikable this season. But besides that, it was very good.
