My favorite example of a non-linear effect 🫠
Photo of a bike traffic light with a „wait“ countdown that tends to go down non-linearly. Naturally, the photo was taken in the Netherlands.

Oh that's new!? First page of the pdf view of a paper on the journal's website is an ad to publish in the journal?? What comes next? 50% off your APC if you agree to have ads in the paper? Sure hope my university got a discount for this Netflix-style service+ads subscription...
pdf view of a paper on the journal website: first page is an ad ("Publishing research supporting global sustainability and innovation"). Above is says "Advertisement Start"...

Very useful table of insufficient examples vs. best-practices for statistical reporting! Will definitely point some of my colleagues to it! 📈
Table with insufficient examples vs. best-practice for things like reporting hypotheses, null results, or the software you used.

See https://doi.org/10.1038/s44271-025-00356-w for the full table.

Among other things, we developed an 🚦Authorship Guideline and a 📝Supervision Agreement to support student authorship and spark early conversations about credit and contributions! And we're currently evaluating the impact that these tools had at our department. 📊

I don’t know what it is but somehow this place makes me wanna fabricate data and publish them in high-impact journals… must be something in the water 🤷🏻‍♂️

🚀Very excited to finally see our paper on nonsignificance misinterpretations published! 📈 Together, @smurphee.bsky.social, Aurelio Fernández, Linda Reimann and I investigated the prevalence of "p > .05 = absence of an effect" interpretations. (1/4) doi.org/10.1098/rsos...
