There was no "mandate." The majority of voters voted AGAINST Trump. With only 49.91% of votes being the most he's ever won, he's NEVER won a majority of votes in any given election. In fact, Republicans STILL haven't won a majority since 2004, but Democrats have done it THREE times since then.
