Portland resident here. Can confirm, city is not on fire. ICE building occupies less than 1 block and is miles from downtown. Today sunny, 70’s, blue sky. OCT 05, 2025

Hmm. Lots of folks coughing here at the Almaty Kazakstan airport. Glad to be masking. CO2 @ high of 1071 … not too bad, but much worse than PDX SFO FRA … etc

THIS IS HUGE! Researchers at Stanford University have developed a dual-antibody treatment that remains effective against ALL SARS-CoV-2 variants by targeting a less-mutable part of the virus. This breakthrough could lead to longer-lasting therapies that OUTPACE viral evolution. 🧪🧵⬇️

For those interested and #COVID interested, here’s the PPM CO2 on a 2H flight from PDX to ONT. Real red during boarding, not great during flight and betting better once close to landing. This is one reason I wear a kf95/n95 on planes … lots of lovely wet coughs on this trip. Yay.

For anyone wondering or cares, air quality on an airplane is not great. CO2 monitor reading on Alaska Airline, domestic at boarding. PPM CO2 Doesn’t get “cleaner” once in flight either (those HEPA better be as good as they claim). Mask in a N95/KF94 if you wanna minimize risks.

Question: the balance point between, 1.5 million USD for 3 songs in front of someone you hate, or stand fast on moral grounds? As someone with a challenged business, I’d have to really consider it. Currently? Would choose to not perform.

Lame that I’m still in the “mourning” phase? Can’t seem to get out of it. Still so disappointed that a majority weren’t able to rise to the occasion, second time, and elected such an obviously horrible person? Really are horrible people out there. All I can do is post pics of my beloved Husky.

If 45 goes through with his promised tariffs, how much will it affect your business? As a small business owner importing guitars from China, it’s likely gonna be a disaster for me … sigh.

Can a Husky learn “Place?” Indeed it can be done.

Siberian Husky demonstrates she can learn the “Place” command.

Oh, and also built hand made guitars in USA, ran my guitar factory in Beijing area, and now import my own brand “Walden” from China (long story but basically trying to merge hand made and affordable for the common folk). So if you ever have any questions regarding acoustic guitars, I’m your guy.

At the lounge here, PDX Airport, air quality quite good, tons of people around coughing, always think of the smoking analogy, outdoors, if all those coughing were smoking, I’d still not enjoy the smell of their cigarettes! keeping my N95 on #CovidIsAirborne #novid #covidcautious
