That "heat wave" (that is, 70s to low 80s F) we just had here in the Bayarrhea enabled me to ripen many tomatoes and even a pepper. I shouldn't complain that it's over, and we're back to gray and 60s F, but I'm going to. It's never a good time for powdery mildew. 🌱🌱🌱

Went to the UC Berkeley Botanical Garden for the carnivorous plant pop-up sale with my friend Bruce. We met some great folks, bought some plants, then went wandering through the grounds. This spectacular Puya was in bloom. Gorgeous color.🌱🌱🌱

A couple of my spring-blooming orchids have decided that the weird, cold summer we just had was, in fact, winter, and they're blooming. If I'm a bit quiet, it's because we're building a new greenhouse! Stay tuned....
