These two are my favourite sharps, both Gus Trims. The bottom one is Bi-frost, which was the official sword of our LGBTQIA+ martial arts school (thus the rainbow finish on the blade). The other I don't currently have a pic of, but it's a rapier with a custom hilt made by an armourer friend.

Christmas presents from my grandfather were always home-roasted almonds. I took up the torch just before he passed. This year I try something new. Marcona almonds on the left, regular on the right. Fried on a pan in butter, and salted. So, so good.

This is about as far up the Fraser river as the salmon come, and they do somehow still manage to leap these falls, in small but hopeful bursts. I suppose this is me, as well. I live up here now, and it's been an exhausting process, but I also reminded that I am far away from where I became strong.
