Colour me surprised...He was our local candidate (failed so moved). i asked him his views on LGBT+ and he was 100% for it, had friends who were, campaigning for rights etc etc...Then when he was elected into Huntingdon, got the LGBT+ flag taken down as it was "Linked to paedophilic activity".

#Parkrun. Did Milton as they needed setup folks. Ankle hurt all the way round and was difficult again...but I did 25.55 for the second week in a row at the same place so got the groundhog award. No run next week, and hopefully start going to the gym the week after to get my fitness back.

Ebay's combine postage thing is BS. It has a 'select all' button that deletes winning lots. So it charges way less than it should. No way around it and folks are waiting for an invoice that is NOT going to be for 1 item of £5 and not the other £68 one! Folks gonna have to pay too much I guess.

Oof, No need for that! Have ordered an Ursula Le Guin book I was eyeing up recently. Hope things get better

Fine, I've bought into the #CyberpunkTCG I may as well learn about the characters. Downloading #Cyberpunk2077 for the #PS5. Not the DLC though, this is a very different game for me so I might not like it. I'll rewatch edgerunners later.

Another Milton #Parkrun, volunteered with setting up. Really didn't want to run today and felt like I had no energy. I put it down to a mid-week 5k. 25.55 is Slow, but I have to be there to not cause more harm.

Pokemon red and blue. Lots of N64 and Gamecube games as I played with friends. Lots of happy memories there.

Smoked Brie, Swiss Gruyere and black cheese that has a lemon tang with foccacia. All from the market on Parker's Piece today.

#Parkrun at Milton again, plus volunteered. Ankle ached the whole way so was 30 secs slower than last week (25.27), but 20 places better #NotARace. Gym training starts in October as cardio is waaaaay down now.

We could sideboard between rounds with our cards. I didn't have time between 1 and 2, then the swiss draft put me against other 0-2 folks. So not sure if it was my changes or they had bad cards too. It's a fun way and feels like getting free boosters!

100

Brian @randomlygeeking.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

Booster draft. Had good legends but not much for the deck. Others got stuff they could build a deck around, I struggled to build anything.

Brian @randomlygeeking.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

5 different players. #1 smashed me off the table, won on turn 4. #2 pure control, I had 8 gigs, then lost 2 turns later. #5 I had the perfect starting hand, dominating the early game...but then drew 12 units in a row and he had perma-block goro. No nerves, just bad luck. Happens.

#Cyberpunk #TCG day 2 beta day. Peterborough, lovely folks and place. Different format, 1 gamex5. Lost first 2, won next 2, hand jam loss on final. No good cards this time, so I gave them all to folks who had not bought many. This meant when I bought a booster it was an iconic rare. Nice begets nice

#Parkrun: Milton again, 24.57. I have noticed a drop in cardio while my leg improves. Getting there and running much smoother. Also proof that positions mean nothing and it's #NotARace: last week 25.19, I was 90th/435. This week I was 22 secs faster and 94th/367.

#Cyberpunk #TCG beta today. Everyone was lovely. The game is simple to pick up and very fun. In 6 boosters I managed to pick up a 2nd #Iconic #Secret #PanamPalmer ...good haul:

Brian @randomlygeeking.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

I do like constructed, until a certain style or card renders all other decks useless, but random/semi-random tournaments are way more fun, plus you get more boosters without feeling like you bought them!

Brian @randomlygeeking.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

#Cyberpunk #TCG beta games day today. Basically 6 boosters, make a 30 card deck, FIGHT! Good way to meet folks as this is a brand new game (not released yet), nice to be in on the ground floor. Hopefully find some folks in Cambridge.

Sentinel on the Spectrum 48K. Move around a map by making copies. Needs energy so eat other things. Get higher than the Sentinel so you can eat him. Don't get eaten. I managed 1 level after a 35 min load time.

Brian @randomlygeeking.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

Agreed. I'm very happy with it. Not sure yet, it's not really selling on Ebay ATM as everyone is going for the £800 one. Probably keep it unless it skyrockets for some reason.

000

Brian @randomlygeeking.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

Reboot? It's only been out 2 days!

#Cyberpunk #TCG Pulled 1 of the 4 special iconic rares. Not the '£800 on ebay' one, but yay.

131

Brian @randomlygeeking.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

It's a simple game, more cards will improve on it. They will bring more mechanics too. It's a good start.

100

Brian @randomlygeeking.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

#Cyberpunk #TCG arrived yesterday. Good artwork, very good card (feels like plastic). Distribution of rares in the boosters is iffy (I have 6 or 7 of 1 a none of others). Simple game and hopefully fun, we shall see next week at a beta event. Now to pull that iconic rare card going for £800 on ebay!

#Parkrun. Back to Milton as they needed volunteers. The run was hard though. Slow and painful. Might still be under the weather from a cold and damaged from Italy. 25.19. Guessing my achilies will take the rest of the year to fully heal now.

The Hunts Reform councillor told me on FB that he "had friends in the LGBT+ community and was totally in favour of their rights...then tried to get the flag taken down because it was linked to "paedophilic behaviour". Lovely bloke. Said he solved the 2000's MRSA crisis too.

#Parkrun: Milan. Hoooooooooooooooot. Huuuuuummmmmmiiiiiiiiddddddd. Nice 2 lap track run with many tourists from all over the world. Not good on my Achilles so a 25.26 and I felt it.
