Doodle-A-Day: Day 8! Today I felt like crap & no ideas were coming through, leading me to think "what's the simplest shape I can make with just a few line tools and a paint bucket?" So behold a 30-second drawing that for some reason Krita didn't wanna give me a timelapse for.

I spent a whole 30 seconds lining up a bunch of triangles to vaguely resemble the Triforce - so minimalist Krita thought making a timelapse was a dumb idea

Hey I remembered the ALT text this time!

Doodle-A-Day: Day 7! FULL WEEK OF SHTUFF WOOOOOOO have a pokeball because I got caught up editing and lost track of time :D

Dangit I forgot the ALT AGAIN

Doodle-A-Day: Day 6! Lasted 5 days longer than I first expected so thought I'd treat myself to a nostalgia trip so BEHOLD!!! Yuma's Emperor's Key from Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL - I grew up with this show okay

Random @randomlive.bsky.social · 05/01/2025

I forgot to put an ALT text for the video so it's lumped in with the image. Sorry...still building the habit...

Quick doodle of a small slime with a big hat because it's cute and I want to hug him

Finished image - not brilliant, but I'll get there...eventually... Staying stubborn & staying motivated.

Doodle-A-Day: Day 4! ...just let me have this...I'm doing what I can with what I have...

120

Random @randomlive.bsky.social · 03/01/2025

Oh, and here's the image. Bluesky doesn't let me add both at the same time so I'm probably gonna show the timelapse first & then the final image in the replies from here on out ...unless the other way round works better - let's find out!

000

Random @randomlive.bsky.social · 03/01/2025

Daily doodle: Day 3 (and I figured out how to make timelapses)! Leaf. ...I wanted to do something nature-related to thank Fauna for everything - I may not be able to do much at this point, but I'd feel worse if I made nothing today given it's her graduation day.

Random @randomlive.bsky.social · 02/01/2025

Doodle a day: Day 2! Followed an eye tutorial because the reflective parts are harder to draw than I feel they should be - here's my result, link to tutorial's in the Replies :D

The result of my following (most of) a tutorial on how to draw basic female eyes in anime / manga style.

New year brings new challenges, and this one's a real doozy. I'm gonna try and do an art piece every day since I've always wanted to be able to draw cool things, and that started today! Bit late today because I had to add some glazing but I figured I'd start with some isometry :D

A quick sketch of a cuboid to remind myself how angles and horizon lines work - black lines are what's visible from the foreground, grey lines are the back edges.
Need to start somewhere, and this felt like a good place to do just that!

Sad part is I Duelled an NPC and got this...

000

Random @randomlive.bsky.social · 07/12/2024

Okay Duel Links is pretty cool

A picture from Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links showcasing Yami Yugi striking a pose against a background showing the cards used in my currently-equipped Deck
Also if you tap/click him in-game he says a voiceline with subtitles this is so cool I love it

Got back into posing models in Source Filmmaker and thought "what the hell?" so I used it as a chance to improve my ability at a buncha stuff listed in the drawing's ALT text On a related note, here's Niko OneShot :D

An SFM Poster export of a simple pose for Niko from OneShot

A drawn-over version of the Niko Source Filmmaker export, done to learn how to draw better curves, improve at colour combinations and how to improve eye proportions

I am so glad this is a thing in DaVinci Resolve now. I do have a Fusion setup for similar results but this streamlines things nicely!

An effect available in DaVinci Resolve 19.1 called Outer Stroke, which adds a configurable border to any image or video it is applied to.

Random @randomlive.bsky.social · 21/11/2024

I love every video I make, and I love that there's so much inspiration around me to keep going & try new things! Heck, the main reason I started out as an entertainer was to share my love for video games & the hope to provide a fresh perspective!

W H A T THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU I swear I'll strive to improve whenever I can, but y'all really have Novika to thank for the line art & challenge in the first place. I wouldn't have as strong a starting point without their help, after all.

WAVE 2 OF @thenovika.bsky.social COLOUR CHALLENGE I mainly used these images to properly familiarise myself with Krita & its quirks. Worked a charm! Seriously though, I can't thank everyone enough for the support. It's been incredible considering I'm just colouring line art... #fanart #sonic

Got bored, wanted to take my laptop on a test drive for artwork! Good news: I finished another @thenovika.bsky.social colouring challenge! Bad news: USING LAPTOP SUCKS SO NO SHADING D: Critique: using circles for reflections in Eggman's goggles doesn't sit right since there's normally lines instead

Only thing I can do half-decently is flat-colour existing linework. Can't do linework for the life of me and can't do renders to save what's left after the lines. Case & point: this line art challenge @thenovika.bsky.social did at the start of this year (plus references + left is abandoned WIP)
