I looked up at job listings ever since but the market + economy is so bad now. There's nothing even worth applying even when I'm back in the red again. Is this the part where I reconsider my life choices? Yes. But I'll still at least finish that 2nd chapter of my comic and see where it goes.

By that time, I had already worked a year and three-fourth on that company, even got a small annual salary increase, but it didn't feel like going somewhere at all. There is that possible route where I stayed and maybe found a higher paying job. But no, took a leap of faith and I'm still unsure

Sometimes I do wonder if I didn't resign that wfh marketing job nearly two years ago; I wonder where things went with my art. I could still be focusing on illustrations but the gap gets wider instead of working on a comic right after resigning

I realized when I translated those first few Filipino pages of the comic into English some of the feelings got lost even if the idea is the same. Plus there are words/phrases that have no English equivalent

I think people now are only exposed of "bara" thru English-language artists even if the term is originally Japanese. Plus they seem to exclude the various levels of fat seen in bara art. As if they only accept muscles and nothing else

It's even rarer to see two older men in a slice-of-life setting where their sexuality isn't even the main conflict at all. Makes this even more of a gem to hold on. While the pandemic setting here has since passed, it still feels in line with the times. Hoping this story reaches the right people

I had the chance in reading @gengorohtagame.bsky.social's manga Fish and Water in one sitting. Compared to his older and more explicit works, this is such a pleasant read! Koji and Akira felt so natural together; I do want to see more yet I also see why the timing felt more once-in-a-lifetime

Have each character showing specific shapes, designs, or looks to avoid same face or same body syndrome. Of course, it has to be something that you, the creator, prefers. Sometimes different hair color or different body shape isn't enough until you put each character side by side. Experiment!
