Our first duck call prototype seems to work okay. Now to refine the design and nerdy it up a bit. #3dprinting #3dprinter #duckcall #goosecall #prototype

$5 a dozen is starting to sound pretty good for our free range eggs, isn't it? #eggs #chickens #backyardchickens #homestead #homesteading #freerange

Even though we know it's one of the risks of raiding truly free-range chickens, it always hurts a little when one is taken by a predator. Sadly, hawks are hard to defend against and usually a protected species. Luckily, the roosters protected the rest of the flock. #chickens #homestead #farm

This is Chewie. He thinks he guards the flock. Mostly, he runs from Gomez. As you can see, he fits in a cat hammock. So, he may be a little bit smaller than he estimates. #dog #dogsofbluesky #chihuahua #homestead

Meet Gomez. He's our top roo. He's big, he's beautiful, and he's noisy. #chicken #rooster #chickensky #farmsky #homestead #farm
