a harsh quiet reflex inside you whispers "Who do you think you are?". That immediate interruption, it's not an accident. It's a deeply ingrained neurobiological response. 🔻Lisa Romano www.youtube.com/watch?v=4nC6...

Are you an adult child of a narcissistic parent? You may still carry strange habits that once helped you survive. In this video, Lisa Romano reveals seven subconscious patterns linked to narcissistic parenting, including over-explaining, people-pleasing, hyper-independence, catastrophizing, fixing others, and avoiding vulnerability.

These habits aren't random. They were survival strategies your nervous system learned in childhood. Lisa explains why they develop, how they affect your relationships and self-worth, and what you can begin doing to break these patterns and create a healthier emotional baseline.

Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor, a neuroscientist, explains that when something triggers an emotion, your brain release a cocktail of stress chemicals into your body. But biologically, those chemicals are meant to clear out in roughly 90 seconds. 🔻Negative Thoughts www.youtube.com/watch?v=4j81...

Why Your Brain Won't Let Go of Negative Thoughts

11 views 19 Aug 2026
This video explores the neuroscience behind negative thoughts, anxiety, overthinking, and emotional reactions—and why your brain sometimes keeps replaying moments that are already over.
You'll learn how the 90-second emotional wave, thought loops, the Spotlight Effect, psychological distance, and attention can influence how you experience anxiety and negative emotions. We'll also look at simple techniques like the 5-3-1 Attentional Pivot and self-distancing to help break the cycle.
If you often overthink, replay conversations, worry about what others think, or struggle to let go of negative thoughts, this video may give you a different way to understand what's happening inside your brain.

No negative emotion is designed to last longer than 90 about seconds. Anger, fear, embarrassment, panic. The emotional wave itself lasts around 90 seconds unless we keep feeding it. It's neuroscience. 🔻Negative Thoughts www.youtube.com/watch?v=4j81...

Donatella Bianchi and Livio Beshir 's journey will continue in Olbia , Sardinia . The story will begin at sea, with Donatella Bianchi sailing from Cala dei Sardi , the largest eco-friendly floating landing place in the heart of the Costa Smeralda , to the island of Mortorio , a small granite jewel of the La Maddalena archipelago , uninhabited and protected as part of the National Park . Livio Beshir , on the other hand, moving from Porto San Paolo to the small island of Cavalli , will lead the audience to discover the small coves and tiny hidden beaches, using one of the few means of transport that can reach them while fully respecting nature: the kayak. Approaching Olbia , among shellfish farms, shallows and shallow waters, aboard the Coast Guard patrol boat , the presenters will discover the delicate maneuvers that vessels go through to enter the port, a natural landing place already frequented in the time of the Phoenicians . A port that remains among the busiest in the Mediterranean , with over 3 million passengers passing through each year, along with a significant freight traffic that supplies the island with raw materials and consumer goods. Linea blu Porti d'Italia - Olbia, 2026-08-22, 14-21-25, Rai 1 HDThere is also space for environmental protection and new pleasure craft, thanks to the latest technologies that allow biomethanol to be extracted from organic waste to fuel maxi yachts. In the ultra-modern shipyards of the port of Olbia, visitors will also discover how the old concept of the "dinghy" is evolving, increasingly integrated with tubes and rigid hulls to create unique models. The journey will continue along the rocky Mediterranean seabed at a depth of approximately 50-60 meters, to explore forests of "false black coral," a marine animal similar to an anemone that lives in colonies. The episode will conclude off the coast of Olbia , aboard boats fishing for murex, a small mollusk from which the legendary purple imperial dye is extracted, and at Customs to talk about the checks carried out on passengers to combat the theft of sand and stones, which are becoming a real emergency.

🌙Climbing an imaginary stairways to the Moon - it would take about 60 years of continuous climbing to cover the 384,400 kilometers (238,900 miles) to the Moon. Factoring in human rest and biological limits, it is physically impossible
The Moon moves in an orbit around Earth at a different speed, meaning a fixed physical staircase could never securely connect to it.

Introversion is not fear of people. It's preference for lower stimulation. Social anxiety is not preference. It's threat detection. "Did I say something wrong?" "Did they notice I was awkward?" "Should I have stayed longer?" 🔻Social anxiety www.youtube.com/watch?v=_CcY...

You’re Not Just Introverted (Here’s What’s Actually Happening)

👉 A more complete behavioral classification system — including decision frameworks not shown publicly here — is currently in development. You can follow updates and early access information here: https://wellnesslenses.substack.com

Quiet doesn’t always mean introverted.

And if you’re mislabeling anxiety as personality, you’re limiting yourself without realizing it.

Introversion and social anxiety look identical from the outside: quiet, reserved, leaving early, avoiding small talk. But internally, they are completely different systems.

One is about energy.
The other is about threat.

And if you don’t know which one is driving your behavior, you’ll apply the wrong solution.

In this video, we break down the difference clearly — no clichés, no pathologizing — just behavioral patterns you can actually recognize.

You’ll discover:
• The internal test that exposes fear vs preference
 • Why replaying conversations is rarely “just introversion”
 • The nervous system difference explained simply
 • How avoidance strengthens anxiety — but not introversion
 • The invisible shift that quietly shrinks your world
 • Why calling fear your personality makes it feel permanent

Here’s the uncomfortable question:
If no one judged you — truly no one — would you still want to leave early?

That answer tells you more than any label.

If you want psychology explained clearly — especially the patterns people misunderstand — subscribe.

Anxious about socializing? You're not alone. | Amir Hampel | TEDxNYU Shanghai

13,756 views 11 Aug 2026
In Amir Hampel's talk, he reframes anxiety not as an internal defect, but as a byproduct of navigating unfamiliar "cultural languages", the unspoken norms and social cues that govern how we connect. Drawing from his research on mental health, he argues that the confusion many feel in social environments is often a sign of being in the process of learning a new cultural grammar rather than a personal failure. Amir encourages shifting from self-doubt to curiosity, emphasizing that confidence is built through active interaction rather than fixed traits. Ultimately, he reassures the audience that feeling like an outsider is simply a stage of learning, reminding us that "when you feel like something is wrong with you, it's likely just a language you're still mastering".

Amir Hampel is a medical anthropologist specializing in mental health. Based on ethnographic research on self-help programs popular with Chinese youth, He has analyzed how markets, mobility, and rapidly changing values are affecting young people's anxieties about personal identity and social belonging. Amir is now studying emerging uses for Chinese medicine for mental health issues including depression, autism, and ADHD. Using digital research methods and interviews with clinicians, scientists, and patients, he is investigating how these therapies are being shaped by cultural, commercial, and technological forces including an expanding set of AI tools.
