Some footage of the Great white egret at #Pegwell yesterday with a bonus Red-throated diver and I'm pretty sure that's a Peregrine perched in the distance. :-) #kentbirding

It's not every day you get a 'Lifer'. I spotted ny first ever Long-tailed Blue #Butterfly along the fence line opposite the Port of #Ramsgate entrance! 🦋😀💚👍

The juvenile Great Spotted Woodpecker visited the garden bin lid bird bath for a wash yesterday. You can see the red cap on the top of the head is starting to fade and revealing that she is a young female as the males have a red patch of feathers on the back of their neck. :-)

The Red-throated diver was pretty close to #Ramsgate westcliff at high tide yesterday morning. It must have drifted into #Pegwell Bay as I picked it up again at the mouth of the river at the nature reserve later on. 🙂 #Kentbirding

I spotted a Goldcrest in the garden on the way out yesterday morning so it was a nice surprise to see a Firecrest turn up for a wash in the garden bin lid bird bath. 🙂

A lovely #Ramsgate to #Pegwell guided walk with Marion & Theresa today. Some highlights were 2 mice bounding across the path, mating willow emerald damselfy, a very early Brent Goose on Shellness point & a Whimbrel. Also Kestrel, Buzzard, wasp spiders & ruby-tailed wasps. #Kentbirding
