In another world, without a lunar disaster, would Andy and Lyra still find each other on Shackleton Moonbase? I’d like to think so. 🌘💕 Doing science together instead of fighting for survival in the final frontier. Please consider supporting my work on Ko-Fi! ⤵️ ko-fi.com/ramonsalinas...

Growing up with Captain and the Planeteers plus a field trip to the dump radicalized me to care about the environment, pollution and climate change. In my stories, Western Regions has an environmental subtext, in Zero and the Cyberhunters its front and centre. I think we need that. 🍃

It’s the worst fucking feeling in the world to feel stuck, alone and lost. Whatever solace I find that other people have felt the way I do is evaporated by the thought of the mountain I’d have to climb to just be ok. When I just don’t want to feel anything or ever need anything. It’s temporary.

If Tapas really is shutting down March of next year I still have decisions to make about when to terminate my account and the updates. I’m still going thru with the Ko-Fi sale this Monday and will consider ceasing all Tapas weekly updates by end of December. I’m playing this by ear.

031

Ramon Salinas @ Comms open! @ramonsalinasart.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

Idk for how many weeks I’ll keep updating Tapas with my webcomics but I’m guessing I may only do a few. I’m already kinda not promoting it anymore and besides this Monday I’ll announce the Ko-Fi shop sale. I hope this is the right thing. Idk what I’m doing. ;;;

I’m so sorry if I sound urgent/desperate about my Ko-Fi but the cost of refilling the gas tank that just happened suddenly, the cos of bills/utilities and the weather proofing the roof before the storms hit here on the west coast it all adds up and feels so overwhelming. Please help if you can. 🙏

It’s official, I’m preparing the announcement of my Ko-Fi webcomic sale for next Monday. Forty-five percent off on ALL my books that will include my upcoming Shackleton Moonbase book. Sale will go on until December 31st. With Tapas shutting down I hope this is an ok to make my stuff accessible.

Background/environment art comms from me are rare. They’re not something I typically advertise but I have some exceptions depending on the project and the client’s budget. I charge by the hour for those tho. Here’s some recent examples! DM me if you’re interested in these!

I realize I’ve got self confidence issues and tend to undervalue myself often. But I hope thru my silly art and comics I can still provide something worth your time for choosing to follow me. You all are such a pleasure to share art/comics with and I’m grateful for your constant support. ❤️‍🩹

I’m gonna keep updating on Tapas until it all shuts down. However, starting October 5th I’m putting ALL my books on 45% sale until December 31st. I’m still undecided about relocating my comics but my Ko-Fi shop will be where they live now. I’ll announce more on that day. 🚀🔎🎸🌘

I’ve been losing my passion for webcomics and thus I want to step down. But I still have so many stories I whats to tell but idk what medium to use. But like if I quit making art I’d stop existing. There’s nothing else to escape to. This is the only thing I can do. I don’t register otherwise. 🫥

Both honestly. Impressed by my art style now, all the comics and illustrations I’ve done. But disappointed that I haven’t hung out with friends since I graduated. Thats my fault, I dove headfirst into my own projects I neglected myself and connections.

Reiterating that while I’m aware of options to build my own site, I’m unsure about relocating all four of my webcomic series somewhere else. All my comics are available on my Ko-Fi Shop as full PDFs. My works will still be there. I was stepping down as a webcomic artist anyway. This is hard. 🫤
