he pauses, eyes shifting from a thoughtful space within his mind down to you. you've been staring for too long. again. he gives you a teasing, if slightly annoyed smirk and leans deeper into the doorway. the smell of old petrol swirls into the smell of him on the air that pours from the workbench room. must be like an oven in there today- it almost stings your nostrils! you frown and dart your eyes to the side, a slight flush on your cheeks betraying your embarrassment. you turn in a huff towards the exit hall, almost forgetting to grab your jacket and supplies in your haste. "yeah yeah, I'll get you a fresh core, just stop looking at me like that!"

"that's my line, pervert!" he caws singsongily down the hall behind you. you know he's not ever actually mad when calling you out, but shame bubbles up inside you anyway. he's seen the zines you hid under your futon cushions, and ever since he just can't help but push your buttons! that jerk. that stupid, kindhearted, dependable jerk. with amazing muscles, skullcrushing thighs, and a scent that still won't leave your dumb nose! fuck him!

you chuckle to yourself as your elbow, halway into the denim sleeve of your jacket, pushes open the front door.
