Felt like doing a bit of knitting technology, see if I still remember how to program.

pink yarn being knit into a swatch. it's a work in progress but the beginnings of a checkerboard pattern are emerging from the lines of programmed yarn.

Some of my favourite details, gushing thoughts in alt text.

1. Ahhhh lookit how chunky the ripples are in these gloves.. and these hands!! omg. I can draw hands?!

2. These ribbons are so heckin cute. I figured out the bounce lighting and added just a hint of red to the horns and a bit on the cheeks. Its subtle, cause the ribbons aren't emitting light, but it sells the look so good.

3. Making my signature actually 'exist' in the world was a clever touch, I thought. I added more red further from the source, as I imagine, unlike the ribbons, the signature does emit light. I dotted some on the legs, the fingers, tummy area. just trying to sell it.

4. Figuring out this shadow was like a eureka moment. I was looking at Kuromi's picture for reference and I could see the lighter areas beneath the center mass. Then it hit me. I was seeing light pass under here bent knee. The shadows mass was coming from the leg. 🤯

Baaaa! Lookit this cute shiny ram girl I painted! TY so much @kuromibunnygirl.bsky.social for being such a cool study. My first time painting latex. I followed @dreamatdusk.bsky.social guide. It was super super helpful, TY both for teaching me so much. This was so awesome!

A shiny black latex ram sits near the corner of her room. Her horns adorned with red ribbons tied in bows. A gentle shadow is cast on the wall juxtaposing the fiercely reflective surface of the full body suit and inflatable ram hood. The artists signature glows like neon resting just above the rams leg.

Little preview of today's practice.

Sketchy figure sitting in the corner of room with one leg bent and the other crossed under it. One arm supporting them while the other casually rests on the lifted thigh. The different colours represent different layers I'm working on. There's construction sketching with a lower opacity beneath the vibrant coloured line layer.

Hoof practice. Thoughts in Alt I found this guide really helpful. Thanks to Deertush for the inspiration and incite. www.deviantart.com/deertush/art...

Practice study. Sketches of hooves with multiple layers showing faded construction lines. Each sketch is numbered 1 through 8.

1. The first sketch I started. I had a reference picture but didn't do any construction to begin with and also lacked understanding of anatomy so I abandoned it before doing a line layer.

2. I built construction to begin with by stacks several cylinders. I tried to apply logic and think about perspective but ultimately I was still lacking anatomy so it looks passable but flawed. I did some sketchy shading and signed it 'cause I thought it was my most 'artistic' sketch.

3. and 4. I followed a guide I found on Deviantart by the artist Deertush. It was really helpful at establishing early construction shapes to aim for. Also vastly deepened my understanding of deer anatomy, which is transferable to sheep.

5. and 6. I used those basic 2D shapes to freehand these two sketches, I think they look pretty good but the anatomy is perhaps a bit exaggerated.

7. I tried to build 3D shapes for the bone structure and attempted to recreate my second sketch. Its still flawed but I think at this point fatigue and limits of personal skill were catching up to me.

8. My final sketch, and honestly, probably my favourite. It captures a sheep's back leg doing a kick. I think I got the proportions better, the toe isnt so huge like it was in the other sketches. I learned about the Y split in the bone structure near the back of the.. ankle? (not sure, terminology was never my strong point.)

Same sketches as before but with the construction layers and shading turned off. I am happy with the results. The line work looks mostly clean and representative of the hooves I'm trying to make. I couldn't have done this without the massively helpful guide from Deertush. Thank you again.

Plushie Study; This is Boston (pronounced like Bawwwwston)

Lightly shaded drawing of a sheep plushie named Boston. Drawn from a mostly top down angle with light source directly in front. His eyes are light blue and wool is white and shorn. The artists signature, Rammy, is in the right ear.

and Just for fun, turning off the sketch layer leaves this really neat, kinda artsy, 'just the gear' look. @choob.bsky.social TY again.

Same sheep as before but this time with the sketch layer hidden, emphasizing the gear.

Another drawing? This was a lot of fun. I pushed myself so hard to make sure the hood looked right. And I'm really happy with those hands even tho I didnt finish them. Thank you so much @choob.bsky.social for being another wonderful study. Enjoy!

Shaded sketch of Ecru in their sheep gear and two harnesses.
