I was thinking that Trump will likely cause more death and despair in Cuba once bored of Iran. So I picked up the excellent Graham Greene’s ‘Our Man in Havana’ to gen up. I see, just like Orwell and Atwood, Greene saw Trump coming decades ago. Herbert too.

South Australia yesterday. Wholesale electricity prices soared to $20K per mwh when gas turbines kicked in 7.30 to 10pm. SA last 30 days - Gas averages $2000 Solar $47 Wind $81 Observation - The companies which do most to cause our heatwaves... make the most profit from heatwaves? Got it.

Australia needs off shore wind, and here’s what it looks like. On the horizon is Seagreen, a 1GW fixed foundation wind farm. Thousands of construction jobs, hundreds on going. Dolphin population booming and whales still returning. Turbines are visible on a perfect day but only as tiny specks.
