Not to mention in one of Labour's safe seats. Imagine what a tripling of the vote would do across Green Party target seats.

People really don't seem to understand that it's up to Green Party membership who their leader is, and that we all love how @zackpolanski.bsky.social is leading us and are immensely proud of how he tripled our vote.

Presumably, if, as the media suggests, those voters are all vicious antisemites, they wouldn't have voted for Jewish candidates two elections in a row?

I don't know if he is, but he campaigned for the Green Party, and his previous voters voted Green, they didn't go back to the Labour Party.

But he didn't stand, because he wanted Zack to win.

Are you a member of the Green Party?
100
ralpholsson.bsky.social @ralpholsson.bsky.social · 5h
You forgot to mention the bit where Andrew Feinstein was campaigning for Zack, and all the people who voted for Feinstein last time were convinced to vote for Zack rather than going back to the Labour Party. This isn't the win you think it is.

ralpholsson.bsky.social @ralpholsson.bsky.social · 7h
So you're saying that all of the people who voted for Feinstein at the last election were attracted to the Green Party by @zackpolanski.bsky.social ?
010
ralpholsson.bsky.social @ralpholsson.bsky.social · 7h
What, you mean like the *real* poll that was held *yesterday*, where he increased the party's vote share by a whopping 22%?

ralpholsson.bsky.social @ralpholsson.bsky.social · 7h
You're going back to Labour for its poisonous Zionism policy? It certainly is *very* Zionist, so I suppose if that's your poison. Personally I find an ideology that says Europe is not the true home of European Jews too antisemitic for my tastes.

The reality: @zackpolanski.bsky.social speaks out in quite some detail about why he finds some aspects of a motion problematic, and according to reports, personally proposes two amendments to it. The media: "Zack Polanski has failed to take leadership on the motion".

Nothing has changed, the guardian has been going down the right-wing propoganda route for years!

ralpholsson.bsky.social @ralpholsson.bsky.social · 11h
Yes, I think this upswing despite the attacks gives him more licence to take the gloves off, but I think he has the personality and political nous to do that without being unpleasant.

One of the things I really admire about @zackpolanski.bsky.social is his ability to tell people where to get off *while remaining a really nice guy*.

*You* have an opportunity to delete your accusation that the motion is racist; Zionism is not a race.
000
ralpholsson.bsky.social @ralpholsson.bsky.social · 12h
I didn't accuse you of supporting genocide. I accused you of repeating genocide-promoting propoganda, which you did. I hope that helps your understanding.

ralpholsson.bsky.social @ralpholsson.bsky.social · 12h
The second point he spoke about and made his opposition clear, indeed, as I understand, it was the reason for his abstention. The first point is bollocks, genocide promoting propoganda.

ralpholsson.bsky.social @ralpholsson.bsky.social · 12h
There's a reason these voices are left out: because the people criticising the motion are racists.

Why should a self-described anti-zionist Jew do anything to appease Zionists?

Queue all the establishment bots (both computer and human) suggesting that a ** 22% upswing in the Green vote ** somehow suggests an existential crisis for the party! Thank you to @zackpolanski.bsky.social and everyone involved on the ground for a tremendous campaign that we can be truly proud of!

"You don’t think it’s just a smidge antisemitic?" Zionism? I think an ideology that says European Jews are not allowed to consider European countries their homelands and have to fuck off back to the Middle East where their distant ancestors came from is massively antisemitic!

I like the equivocation ones: How can you declare "murder is bad" when "murder" is just the collective noun for a group of crows? What have you got against crows?!

I doubt that. Very few people who support Zionism in Holborn and St Pancras would have been going to vote Green anyway. If we're sharing feelings, I "feel" that genocide is really bad. I also feel that anyone whose feelings are hurt by opposition to genocide should pause for some introspection.
000
ralpholsson.bsky.social @ralpholsson.bsky.social · 08/10/2026
I have no control over how they "feel", although I note that you are being antisemitic by again trying to make it about "Jews" when many Jews oppose the state of Israel. Regardless of what they "feel" they are not being treated unfairly.
110
ralpholsson.bsky.social @ralpholsson.bsky.social · 08/10/2026
No, it is *you* who can't have it both ways, you cannot insist on a "fairness" that extends only to the supporters of an ethnostate and not to its victims. That is not fairness. Telling criminals that they cannot commit crimes is not, under any serious definition of the word, "unfair".
110
ralpholsson.bsky.social @ralpholsson.bsky.social · 07/10/2026
That would still not make them stateless. And besides, what "say" did the Palestinians have over the Nakba and the enforced ghettoisation and blockade and of millions of them in Gaza, and the subsequent genocide?
110
ralpholsson.bsky.social @ralpholsson.bsky.social · 07/10/2026
But they wouldn't be stateless, they would be equal members of a new state.
100
ralpholsson.bsky.social @ralpholsson.bsky.social · 07/10/2026
Personally I disagree with that specific aspect of the motion, but that aside, you have still not explained how that constitutes "unfairness" to "people". A state is not "people". A state is a political construct.
110
ralpholsson.bsky.social @ralpholsson.bsky.social · 07/10/2026
c) you're antisemiticlly trying to make it about "Jews" despite the fact that the person you're attacking *is a Jew*, And d) you're trying to suggest that treating people unfairly includes criticising a foreign state for COMMITTING A FUCKING GENOCIDE! 2/2
000
ralpholsson.bsky.social @ralpholsson.bsky.social · 07/10/2026
I see, so: a) you're blaming the leader for the democratic actions of members, b) you're talking about how people "feel", not about how they are being treated, 1/2

ralpholsson.bsky.social @ralpholsson.bsky.social · 07/10/2026
I think you're going to have to stop speaking in riddles, because I don't have a clue what you're talking about when you suggest the Greens under Polanski aren't treating everyone in a fair manner.
