I gave up and keep dotfiles to an absolute minimum. Default everywhere, as little customization as possible, and just store them in git and copy-paste stuff manually when setting up new computers.

On a whole though, I'm having surprisingly okay time with W11. Had to switch from mac, and things mostly work well. WSL2 is fine, windows terminal is alright. Never had degradations in performance (though my build is relatively beefy).

In Windows 11 choosing 150% display scaling setting = blurry fonts, choosing "custom" and putting "150%" manually = crisp. At this point in time neither macOS nor Windows can do external displays properly. Popular Linux distros do better. This is the opposite of how it's been 15 years ago. Amazing
