Majuular is one of my favorite YouTube creators! I second that recommendation!

As for Darius & Blue: that is also a weird one. For now I'll keep them there with the logic that if it's after their reveal, they can have the tags. I can change my mind later, but I don't want people getting spoiled through tags.

Tags added, except for Hell. I like using the tag The Ring of the Slightly Damned to differentiate between that area and the area within the gates, even though the whole realm is Hell. That's also why I don't tag Medius, though I'm not sure if I should be? Currently undecided.

When Maj started talking about the game mechanics, and they were all LITERALLY things I knew from playing MUDs, it felt so bizarre. And strangely nostalgic. Then when he talked about how people acted like psychotic, raging assholes to each other... yeah, that stuff was very familiar too lol

Imagine my surprise, watching Majuular's Ultima retrospective series, learning about Ultima for the first time in my life, then learning that Ultima Online was *literally* built by people who built MUDs! To the point where before they were MMORPGs, they were GMUDs: Graphical MUDs! I had no idea. 🤯

I was really into playing MUDs with my online friends in the early 2000s. A MUD is like a chatroom that's also a game, heavily inspired by D&D, but easily modified. The MUDs we played were very small & customized. It was a central hub of my online social life. I've never played an MMORPG.
