Best haul of the year so far. I’m so happy right now. And this completes a few things for me (both Galaxy Convoy partners, the Vanguard team, and all four Planet Force/Keys).

Kinda random but I didn’t realize till recently that I had these two just standing together by shear coincidence.

TFcon was a lot of fun as always but something I keep thinking about how it’s the first one without Ron Friedman. Before the first time I went I didn’t even know who he was but I always enjoyed hearing him talk at G1/TFTM panels. Really feels like something’s missing without him.

Frank Welker and Peter Cullen hissing at each other like a pair of cats was not on my bingo card.

Not gonna claim I make the best decisions, but just 40 minutes at TFCon and I got these. What’s really amusing is that both sets of dealers happily talked about how Skywarp had the best deco. Already a fun start to my experience along with the TFTM panel that just ended.

Gonna be at TFcon LA today; wishing everyone else who’s making it out a good time!

Got this today; hopefully it isn’t the minefield this release is known to be.

000

raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social @raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social · 11/03/2026

Got myself a cool new lamp; I think I can finally take pics that reflect the color of toys more properly (trying it Jetfire for fun).

000

raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social @raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social · 17/02/2026

Kind of a funny coincidence but on saturday I got Autovolt in one package and the other two in a separate one meaning I got a toy from each Micron Trilogy line at the same time. Shockwave and Jetfire also mark the final releases of each I was missing; really happy.

Last post of the year most likely. Just sharing the last TF set I’ve been enjoying. Happy New Year everyone; may the coming year be filled with more fun and wonderful experiences.

So one final update I wanted to give; I got an email Thursday that Hasbro was shipping out a replacement Jetstorm and sure enough I got an unbroken Jetstorm today, sooner than expected. Bit scared to pull the tailfin over this time; I don’t think this is fixed or altered in anyway.

000

raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social @raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social · 11/12/2025

Wanted to share this; two days ago I decided to contact pulse about my broken Jetstorm. IDK how hopeful I should be or what responses are usually like but the wording here seems like they’re aware of the problem in general given it seems to imply replacement Jetstorm specifically

Just cuz it’s all in, felt like sharing my Black Friday haul (plus stuff I had stashed at TCP) and my birthday haul last month (plus ebay stuff that came that day). Sadly one of these has turned out to be a disappointment but mostly exciting stuff imma enjoy.

raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social @raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social · 23/11/2025

Kinda delayed but of course who would Prime be without Megatron? It’s great years later to finally be able to put these molds together. While the in film heights differ more as a pair these two are perfect.

000

raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social @raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social · 18/11/2025

2007 Megatron with MPM1 Starscream, his ever unfaithful right hand bot. It’s kind of funny how Megatron feels a bit puny in comparison but they still work well enough together.

100

raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social @raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social · 18/11/2025

2007 Megatron and MPM8. Seeing the two obviously highlights the improvement time and a bigger budget yield yet also just how well the 07 toy captured Megatron in a line where accuracy was far from universal. Also amusing is how folding the wings to the back carried over.

000

raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social @raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social · 18/11/2025

Also obligatory: 2007 Movie Leader Megatron. The first movie toy I had. Despite the undercarriage I always thought this alt mode was quite cool; it takes some liberties but still captures the onscreen one pretty well. There is some tight clearance for getting the back in place.

100

raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social @raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social · 18/11/2025

Naturally I gotta also compare this to the ROTF mold, in this case the Jetwing bot. While the 07 alt mode is good the ROTF is cleaner and I’m certain more accurate to the real truck. I do love the 07’s comically oversized wheels though; there’s something charming about em.

100

raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social @raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social · 16/11/2025

Tribute Leader Optimus Prime: My first experience with the mold in semi bustery chrome goodness. I think for 07 this was amazing and the chromed parts really shine in more ways than one.

Today’s my birthday which made it perfect timing to get these in the mail. The Space team is one I do have but getting stuff from my childhood packaged has been a goal of mine to bring it up to the rest of my collection. But the main draw here was absolutely the Road Assault Team

100

raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social @raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social · 15/11/2025

Welp; the good news is I managed to get the tailfin over his head seamlessly; the bad news is that piece is fully cracked instead.

000

raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social @raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social · 15/11/2025

Whatever my criticisms I’m still excited to have this in hand. I didn’t realize as well till that Nemesis is packed holding the Star Saber; presentationwise that’s pretty cool (should have been the Dark Saber though).

000

raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social @raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social · 14/11/2025

FunPub 2016 Freebie Ramjet I’m glad this exists and I love the simple solution of tooling the head to point forward in alt mode as well as the silver insignias nodding to the unpainted ones the old toy had. I do wish the feet had the blue paint apps of the original tho but still.

000

raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social @raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social · 14/11/2025

Universe 2008 Vector Prime Bit of an odd release just being himself but the black is very fetching and I can’t help but like the bright blue paint bits too as well as the painted sword. I would have preferred Safeguard in black but the brown works I suppose.

raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social @raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social · 12/11/2025

Studio Series Cogman: I’ve long held this is one of the best TR toys despite not even being in that line. I love the realistic alt mode and especially the interior with two seats with a solidly sculpted headmaster. Also love the dark plastic; glad I skipped the TLK for this one.

000

raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social @raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social · 11/11/2025

More stuff I’ve put away for now: Energon Demolisher, Snowcat, and Starscream. All very fun molds ; Starscream and Demolisher especially are absolutely stellar.

Armada Powerlinx Thrust and Inferno, Hasbro NA release and Toy Dreams “USA Edition” Takara release. I quite like both of these. I do prefer the red one but the Dirge colored NA release is still nice and unique and I’m glad it exists.

200

raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social @raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social · 10/11/2025

Three Dirges I had out and about. I’ve come to really like how NA Powerlinx Thrust got repurposed like that officially at some point. I’ve always had a soft spot for Dirge.

raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social @raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social · 10/11/2025

Tangentially related since I had em out at once: Superlink Micron Boost Vol. 2 Seeker, Effect, and Blitz. I quite love the bright blue and red colors of this set and it’s my second favorite the team has had.

Part 3: Superlink Windcharger (Microns given out via promos I know little about). Was gonna make this post sooner but laziness kicked in.

Finally getting around to packing some stuff back but a quick review of these little guys: The Energon Perceptor team, the timeskip forms of the Street Action teams (will review them another time).

100

raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social @raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social · 18/09/2025

Some more new additions to the collections. The packaging is more rough than expected so I tried just snapping some pics at my desk (might be a smidge dark though). I was originally more excited for Hot Shot but in hand Override ended up catching key my eye more surprisingly.

raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social @raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social · 08/08/2025

Finally splurged on this; really happy to finally have it. In this middle of a large scale rearrangement of things but once I get that done I wanna share pics of this and lots of other things.

raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social @raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social · 28/06/2025

I thought I lost this for 15 years but someone in my family found it yesterday .It’s the 3rd missile from my Galaxy Force Optimus. It’s a little thing but I’m big happy now.

000

raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social @raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social · 09/06/2025

Good start to my day. Technically I have both Hasbro sets but I lost two street speeders sadly so it’s nice to have A complete set (and hopefully eventually the full both).

000

raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social @raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social · 03/06/2025

Cybertron Override. I didn’t notice at first but there’s a surprising amount of differences with Nitro Convoy. I remember reading BWTF’s really old review on it but it’s only in hand that I can appreciate that fully.

100

raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social @raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social · 28/05/2025

Was gonna get Override eventually regardless but I was REALLY looking for one of the sets with Mirage and I finally have him. Sadly a bit of “settling” here though since there’s tobacco smell on it though (knew that when I got it).

000

raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social @raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social · 27/05/2025

Velocitron Override and Galaxy Force Nitro Convoy. I really find the old toy to shine in alt mode while the new one is amazing in bot mode. I’m also more partial to the colors on the new but the old one feels more decked out with paint.

100

raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social @raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social · 26/05/2025

Legacy Velocitron Speedia 500 Override. While reasonably representing the alt mode I do find it a tad weak compared to the original and the weapon not being deployable is unfortunate. I do love the slot for old keys though.

100

raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social @raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social · 25/05/2025

Since I’ve got something related Monday or so here’s Galaxy Force Nitro Convoy. Love the alt mode but I never understood why every version painted the feet and hid the headlights outside of Dark Nitro.

raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social @raiyuki-henkei.bsky.social · 15/05/2025

Felt kinda on theme with JAFCON so why not; Nucleon Quest Convoy. One of the guns is a regular PMOP since mine lacked one but who can tell if I don’t tell (oh wait).
