besides that .. me and some friends started a shared cloud-save game of animal crossing dx, which is a mod for the gamecube ver that adds some cut/japanese content and a few features from future games while still keeping it relatively simple. its been fun. i forgot how mean everyone is, i love it.

whats fun is like, i think with american games of this scope the story is usually a lot more action/drama oriented, so its fun to see well directed cutscenes, voice acting, and animation for something more like this. idk.

the combat is a lot more fun than ffxv was but i cant help but miss turns. i think the draw here is gonna be the character moments. i'm really glad the game is still silly. that's one of ff7's big charm points that seems to be overlooked in the shallow pop culture view of the game.

i started playing ff7r. i like it, but im afraid for the second part and its more openworldness. the characters are pretty charming. i like jessie a lot, they are really rubbing it in given, you know. i haven't gotten aerith yet..

oh yeah i beat yakuza like a dragon. really fun game. i like ichiban a lot. i've only played y0, but the contrast between him and kiriyu is good. i like a game about emotional idiots and its just so funny to have this be your party

wormgrubbing goes well. i've been working on the title screen. i'm trying to make a private 0.1 build of wormgrubber, just to see if everything runs on other peoples' computers and stuff. like none of the writing and stuff is implemented, but most of the systems are in place.

gamedev is going well. i just like doubled my fps because i learned how to use render targets properly. im probably capping the game at 30fps (animations run at 12fps anyway...) but it'll be good to have all that budget for Special Effects
