He says he lives in St. John, Kansas. At least that’s what he told the Kansas City Star. He listed an address that his brother uses. A quick road trip could confirm this. Maybe talk to his neighbors. Maybe see if he’s pictured on local milk cartons “have you seen me?”

Three routes you can take from the KC Star office in Kansas City to St. John, Kansas (population 1,228 and the county seat of Stafford County). Maybe grab a few pops and a bag of sunflower seeds and road trip out there to confirm he doesn’t live in Florida like so many others.

Sometimes you just have to drive 200 miles out of your way to see the world’s biggest electric shovel. Big Brutus in West Mineral, Kansas. She’s as tall as a 15-story building and all the land she mined ending in 1974 is now wetlands and wildlife refuges. Amazing.
