An amazing podcast with a great crew running great games with immersive stories. Cthulhu, fhtagn, and I'm still waiting on that Cyberpunk/Shadowrun game ;)

I'm looking into trying a few games of Star Wars 5e. Any opinions on the system?

Sign ups are live! I'm running a custom game of FFG Star Wars at 630 EST on November 4th to raise money for my local Children's Hospital. I've still got four spots left! discord.com/invite/Ne5Hb... Sign up by clicking the green checkmark for Game 10.

Anybody want to play a game November 4th and help me raise some money for the hospital that saved my girls' lives? I'm hoping to run a game for GoatCon again, representing the FFG Star Wars game, and I'm currently writing the oneshot, set in the late stages of the Clone Wars.

Dude, which McKay is that? I can never find anything decent at the one in Chattanooga.

I just started listening to the Glass Cannon's latest Runequest game, and I'm super intrigued by it.

The very first piece of Shadowrun art I ever received. By a guy who used to be on Dumpshock named Holychampion. No clue what he goes by now. My character in this was a very 90s styled combat decker named Ikasu. In the back is my old roomie, Atma. My how my tastes in characters have changed.

Anybody else interested in a Shadowrun RPG Play by Post? I'm looking for two more players! Edition will be determined by the group between 2nd, 5th, and 6th.

Nice! I'm most familiar with 5th, but I've been wanting to try 6th. I had a PbP group going through chargen until it fell apart when one player ghosted on me. Also familiar with 2nd through Pink Fohawk :D

Excellent! Which edition did you play?

If we get a few players together, I'll start up a Discord. Play by Post is definitely a good way to ease into the system with the right group!

I see a lot of people interested in Shadowrun but haven't had the chance or are afraid to try it because of the complexity. How about we have a PbP game to give everyone that chance? I'd be happy to get something going for 2nd, 5th, or 6th editions. Reply if interested!

I'd love to eventually hear more from the Crit Squad, but it's been a while since their last upload.

Fair, fair. I liveon the Chattanooga area, but went to school in Knoxville for a while. What kind of industry are you looking into?

100

RainMedic @rainmedic.bsky.social · 21/08/2023

Depends on the field I would think. I don't know much about other than medicine though.

Shadowrun Character Concept: A former Lone Star police negotiator mage who specialized in astrally projecting and materializing to speak with suspects in high threat situations.

I've got a nice pdf collection through various bundles for early Shadowrun, but it's just not the same.

If your Shadowrun game doesn't look like this.... That's ok, because there's tons of ways to play and this is just my preference.

020

RainMedic @rainmedic.bsky.social · 12/08/2023

It's 2e Shadowrun. That bear lives the classics.

I never played Baldur's Gate despite owning it for years. With everyone posting about the third, I wanted to finally start catching up. I love it when an older game can captivate me. It's actually getting me into Faerun lore again, which I never thought would happen.

I only started reading after the Seattle edition released, but at least from that point on it seems playable, even a bit streamlined from 5e once you get used to the new Edge rules. I haven't had a chance to test the system myself though.
