OMG I totally forgot to post these on time but it was just my birthday! Drew a silly comic with my sonas to celebrate 🥳🎂 #art #comic #birthday

These two are the first doodles of this exercise! The straight-haired one gave teacher vibes so I made teacher×parent yuri/GL. Not the happiest with this piece because of the anatomy, but it's still cute and these characters are fun! #art #illustration #doodles #bookcover #gl #yuri #romance

Enlarged doodles of two women. The lower one has spiky hair in a mohawk/mullet style and a simpler face, while the upper one has straight almost shoulder-length hair with more facial detailing like eyebags. I think these two subjects are more recent than the previous remakes, but the idea for the piece hit me like a brain blast lol! 🧠⚡️🤯

A new piece using the previous characters, designed to look like a GL novel cover. Each character has more details in their faces and outfits reflecting their personalities and roles. I love the shape language difference in their designs and how that's reflected through the background!

Practicing turnarounds using my sonas since I suck at them lol. Drew them front facing, then a side perspective, then redrew the front perspective using the side profile as reference. Didn't turn out great but we learn and improve #practice #artpractice #turnarounds #perspective #sonas #sona

My sona Bottlecap drawn three times; first from the front, then the side, then a redraw of the front view using the side perspective as reference

A bit ago I drew this sketch of a potential roster for Poker Night 3. Decided to go back and sketch another, along with adding narrator picks to both #fanart #crossover #pokernight #venturebros #hades #deadlock #tadc #wallace&gromit #nomoreheroes #nmh #adventuretime #crashbandicoot

From left to right: Dr Thaddeus "Rusty" Venture from The Venture Bros, Zagreus from Hades, Silver from Deadlock and Jax from The Amazing Digital Circus. For the narrator, I chose Disco Elysium's narrator since they're all quite confident characters so some insight into/riffing on their thoughts would be funny. Also Rusty's item potential is perfect for his character (valuable but expendable, technological/weapons, references)

From left to right: Wallace from Wallace & Gromit, Travis Touchdown from No More Heroes/Kill The Past, Fionna from Adventure Time/Fionna and Cake and Dingodile from Crash Bandicoot. For the narrator, I couldn't choose between The Narrator from The Stanley Parable or Caine from The Amazing Digital Circus. Caine probably has the stronger case though since he's more currently relevant and his voice actor is a NMH fan. These four also have great item potential

These pieces were both for testing brushes and colouring styles, and were drawn pretty much at the same time, so I found it fitting to draw them together!! Focused on honing their individual shape language to explore that dichotomy 🦈🦈 #art #illustration #characterdesign #sharks #colourful #sharkart

Old piece depicting a pink, pointy shark with green eyes and grey speckles. I wanted to depict the speckles in the new piece but I just couldn't find a way to work them in :(( This was a pretty useful piece in terms of "realistic" colouring, especially with the background. The original title of this piece was Pinkolio Shark 🦈💕💚

Old piece depicting a stubby, friendly shark with a peach underside, vibrant yellow top half and red gills. For this piece, I wanted to go wild with weird colours in large blocks. The eye being another colour would've brought some welcome attention to it rather than it fading from focus, but this practice helped me exercise my creativity when I was younger and new to digital art. The original title for this piece was Cooper The Shark 🦈💛🍑❤️

A new piece depicting updated designs for the previous two pieces' subjects. These designs contrast each other incredibly, so I took it further in both details and background. For details, I gave them small things like conflicting eyelash designs and gill sizes, and made their fins contour in unique ways. For the background, I coloured each half using their original piece colours, then overlayed those halves with a striped purple design at 45% opacity. This keeps their unique palettes while moving them into a shared tone and pattern. I love this piece compositionally since their body types and personalities are reflected by how they position themselves around the other 🦈🤝🦈

I chose to remake this piece first because it was my first experiment with scene lighting and taught me some helpful tips. As for the character design, I combined features of cartoony wizards with the general aethstetic of druids #art #illustration #characterdesign #druid #wizard #oc #ocart

The original piece described above; this one meant a lot at the time since I'd struggle to make anything feel grounded, so despite its shortcomings, I still treasure this piece. I also love the little tooth🦷. The placeholder name for this piece was Drizzard, which is pretty silly but I find it endearing (this was made before rizz was a widespread term lol)

Same as the previous piece but without the haze for a bit of clarity

My updated version of the previous piece; since it's set in a grounded scenery, I went further into realism through the refinement/addition of pores (eyelashes, acne, facial hair etc). I wanted to highlight a softer side to them than the original, so I shifted their focus to a ladybug on their coat to showcase their affinity for nature🐞. To further express this softness, I rounded out and enlarged their facial features and made their skin a little more flush. The earrings were a surprise addition I liked since they add a bit of perspective to a design that doesn't have much complexity

Same as the previous piece but without the haze for some clarity! 🐞

Here are my two sonas Bottlecap and Drench! Figured it'd be fun to distribute a few aspects of myself into separate designs rather than clump them into a singular one. Also, mushrooms are awesome 🍄🍄
