Since there has been a Republican and Democratic Party (1854) there have only been a handful of midterm elections where the majority party didn’t lose. In over 90% of the elections the opposition party won. This weird cycle we’re in now is only since Trump - and because of him.

What are you, 12? Parties win and lose in cycles. Always have. If you haven’t been around long enough to learn from history - even recent history - you should study it a bit. If social democrats win, they’ll be majority for awhile, and then they’ll lose. And someone else will win - and then lose.

I’m going to go out on a limb and say that Democrats refusing to challenge Republican engineered abuse of American citizens (and human beings in general) is why people aren’t turning to the Democratic Party when they leave the Republican Party.
