at the end of the day, I just don't think big issues (homo/lesbo/trans/etc -phobia, grooming, doxxing, stealing from charities... etc) should ever be boiled down to "fandom drama" it sets a bad precedent, and makes it too easy for people to downplay events and sweep actually bad stuff under the rug

It really is embarrassing behavior for moderators. They hide behind claims of being very silly and unserious and then turn around and snap at people and and ignore anyone with concerns that are inconvenient to them and complain about their difficult jobs. The etiquette is lacking

they say that, yes, but they only protect certain sections/certain people of the sub and don’t follow their own general rules if they don’t deem you important enough to listen to. you can definitely have your own experience and perspective but that’s been mine.

All I’ve seen is constant rude mistreatment from the mods and refusal to listen to even basic requests, so I have very low expectations at this point!

no it’s so funny because this was her first big post back and then right after this, she made a post being like “anyway! i finished my masters thesis and am restarting patreon. woo!” (paraphrasing) and is back to regularly rbing art and things.

I think the issue is that her followers just have no clue what happened at all. Things are relatively insulated for users who are primarily on tumblr/reddit/patreon. And she blocks people so their comments of dissent can’t be viewed a lot of times
