Clouds at the southern edge of the Alps. Very different from my lowland home; much icier and wispier, all blurry and feathery. Even had some sun dogs! Lovely round rainbowy spots in the clouds.

We have hedgehogs visiting the garden!! This is big. We're living in a city, our garden is tiny, and the best I can do is let it go as wild as possible and add some water stations. And it works! We've got lots of insects, birds, red squirrels, a cute mouse - and hedgehogs. So chuffed.

It has risen! And He too, of course. Happy Easter everyone. It's a celebration of hope in dark times, new life coming from the rubble of the old, joy after tears, and a reminder that the tyrants don't win in the end, even if it looks like it.

Such cool trains! They do maintenance and repair work on the tracks. And each has a unique name, it seems.

Had the best cake of my life in a café for my birthday.

Did you know Dandelion seeds (flowers?) are hydrophobic? You can put the whole flower in water and when it comes out it's dry and looks just like before?!?! This is so cool! (Also when a dandelion looks like this it's called Pusteblume in German, blow flower.)

Life is resilient. Even in the darkness of a cave, moss grows with just a little artificial light. Forests bounce back from devastation through droughts and bark beetles, more beautiful and stronger than before. Trees felled by the storm can still grow. @thomashugtree.bsky.social
