Pokémon Brown 3D players, we have a question! The original Brown doesn't have abilities, but Brown 3D does. We want to make it closer to the classic version, but would like to keep it for the hard difficulty mode. What should we do? Check out our Twitter, Reddit, or Discord to vote!

You will need to open your save file in the debug version of the ROM. On the start screen, go to the debug options, and select "Fix build number". This will force the build number of the save to change. Make sure you take a backup of your save file before doing this!

I hadn't played Pokemon in years, but I got back into it because of Brown 20th anniversary edition. I recommend it to anyone with even a passing interest in Pokemon rom hacks. I put over a hundred hours into it, but it never overstayed its welcome. Plus, it's easy to level up your party postgame.

We've been made aware of a bug in Brown 6.1 with the new laptops. There's a chance that changing your boxes while using them could corrupt your save data. We will issue an update to correct this soon. In the meantime, please avoid using these laptops to change boxes.

We're aware of a bug in Brown that can cause players to become locked in the final room of the Elite 4. For now, this can be resolved simply by saving and resetting you game, talking to the NPC again, and the door will open. A proper fix for this will be released soon!

A quick note to players using Delta for iOS - Pokémon Brown runs great with this emulator, however, it has no SGB colour support right now. If you wanted to experience Brown with its SGB colours on iOS, you can download SameBoy from the App Store. This has full SGB support!

We live in hope though, and we know plenty of players with the AP that can keep testing. If Analogue fix the issue then we’ll let everyone know.

RainbowDevs @rainbowdevs.com · 01/12/2023

It doesn’t; Prism functions fine without an RTC, and we’ve added the Time Machine item in game to help players without RTC capabilities. Prism uses some advanced features of the GBC that the AP has poor compatibility with.
