I thought I'd come across an Amiga plush far before I could even DREAM about owning this. Still my most wanted piece of Amigo merchandise, and that hasn't changed since 2023 lmao. Pictures of her are very scarce, but I do hope our paths will cross some day. 🙏🐵

🎂🎂🎂Happy 27th Birthday, Dreamcast!🎂🎂🎂 I'll never forget the depth of your game library and how wonderfully diverse and creative your peripherals were

An illustration of Sonic holding the Dreamcast Twin Sticks next to Ulala from Space Channel 5 Part 2 holding a Dreamcast controller with a Seaman microphone, with Beat from Jet Grind Radio behind them holding a fishing controller. They are all intertwined by the cords of their peripherals, while behind them is a giant Dreamcast glowing gently over them. In the background are floating Chao, Light Chao, and Dark Chao, Amigo from Samba de Amigo, and a Chu Chu and Kapu Kapu. Also Seaman looking upset at Ulala, maybe Ulala said some crass words that he didn't enjoy

A large part of me doesn't want to acknowledge this day since I'm now only reminded of what I lost. But that's not what today is about. It was never about loss, but about what I gained since then, and through the very character today is named after.

Apparently DLC from Samba de Amigo: Party Central is already being delisted from the Nintendo eShop just weeks before the game's 3 year anniversary. As of today, the Kawaii Music Pack and the Japanese Music Pack are no longer available :(

Out of all 8 Samba de Amigo games, 4 of them are digital only. That's half of the series' library. With Party-To-Go's recent erasure, that just leaves Virtual Party as the only currently available digital title.

Party-To-Go was accessible for just under 3 years, yet earlier this year I was able to get a Dreamcast as well as the first Samba de Amigo game and Ver. 2000 after they were released over 20 years ago. This is why physical media is so important.

I started modding Samba de Amigo v2000 on Dreamcast with custom songs! I created a tool that takes an MP3, replaces a song of your choice with it, as a Samba de Amigo custom track. Here's an early attempt with "Machinegun Kiss" from Like a Dragon ! #dreamcast #sambadeamigo #mod #yakuza #likeadragon

up to this day i’m obsessed with a question “what’s Amigo’s first-person pronoun in Japanese?” that sort of a pronoun tells a lot about a character. i wish to speak to a certain native speaker about it someday. but i believe that boku would suit him. well.. how do i explain “oira”…?

Why did Sega think locking the story of the game behind the Apple Arcade version was a good idea? And sadly, it may be too late to update Party Central to include it since the dev team has likely disbanded.

As for Yamigo, they shall remain immortalized on my Tomodachi Life island. Not fighting for their life in the slums, not plotting their brother's demise, but surrounded by a group of oddballs that love and care for them. Especially that blue one, if anyone at all.

Because Party-To-Go doesn't play like a traditional Samba de Amigo game, I always felt a little weird saying that it was my favorite game. But the Story mode displayed characters casually interacting with each other amongst a major conflict — a first for the series. That in itself was special.

It is with a heavy heart that I announce that Samba de Amigo: Party-To-Go for Apple Arcade is no longer available. Apparently it was quietly delisted from the App Store on July 17th of this year. From that point, Apple Arcade games are usually given 2 weeks before the game becomes unplayable.

There's also that delisted ChuChu Rocket game that would've benefited from being ported to other platforms, as well as Sonic Dream Team and Puyo Puyo Puzzle Pop. Please Sega. You can make plenty of money out of these games if you take them out of Apple Arcade jail.

The fact that Sega has not made any effort to bring their Apple Arcade titles to other platforms when other companies are doing it is infuriating. It had a version of the new Samba de Amigo with an exclusive story mode that just recently got delisted and is no longer playable.
