I got my voter card for the upcoming Toronto Mayoral election in the mail today. I checked out the list of candidates online, no raccoon running this year. Pity. I trust a raccoon more than any of the candidates who are running. I'll just have to hold my nose and vote the person I hate the least.

They aren't "TV shows", they're streaming shows. They are not the same thing. TV shows are on regular network television, streaming shows are held hostage behind subscription pay walls. I hate streaming, it's destroying television.

TV sucks this season. There's nothing on. The only show I have left to watch is Grey's Anatomy, and it doesn't even come back for over two more weeks. There's not one decent new show on. I may as well just cancel my cable, I'm paying for nothing.

New fountain pen day! And ink too. Plus another Pilot Color Eno mechanical pencil, and some leads for it and the other Enos I already have. I also picked up a few converters. I hate giving Lamy money, but I'm still using the Safari I have and it needed a converter. But hey, another Kaküno! Yay! 🖋️

It's difficult to bring eggs up to room temperature for baking when the room's temperature is barely above the refrigerator's temperature. The heat's not on and it's a little brisk outside. We have a wind chill. It's not even fall until tomorrow. Thanks, El Niño. 😑🥶👩‍🍳

This is the first time I'm not watching the Emmys. Not only is there not a single nominated show that I've watched, I've also never even heard of over 90% of them. These aren't television awards any more, none of the shows are on TV. Streaming isn't TV.

I always wanted this Barbie but never ended up getting it. It was one of the most beautiful Barbie's I had ever seen. Bob Mackie was a genius, even with doll designs. RIP
