"Doest thou want to see the moon rise?" Okay, it looks much better in real, really sharp and defined, with all the details. Princess Luna has outdone herself again, it's quite a while that I could watch such a gorgeous moonrise!

The full moon rises on a clear sky over a scenery with two electric trains, electric overhead wires constructions and a classic living city house in the background. Chemnitz Hbf, just photographed.

Kirin plushies have a lot of additional pieces to them, but they're worth it. The horn was freehand sculpted with felt and glue. OC owned by deviantart.com/RedHolm (who is also to thank for the lovely photo!) #art #commission #plushie #mlp

Recommended by fellow brony friends who also are very much into the cosplay scene, I attended my first anime and cosplay convention this weekend: #DeDeCo in Dresden. What a wonderful, fascinating visit to a colorful world from which I only knew of so few so far! Be back next year!

America please wake up. Your president is lying to you. Its all about OIL and money. Not national security. Hes the same as Putin and Hitler. You cannot just take a whole country because youre a greedy orange man baby. Get rid of him before WW3 happens!

Gaze into my personal hell: winter. If there's hell for me, it'd be made of ice, snow and cold.

Happy Winter Solstice! ☀️ It's what I'm celebrating today; for me, it's the highest holiday in the whole year. The season of winter may have only really begun (def. not my season!), but in a few days, days will get longer again slowly but steadily. There IS still hope... in nature.

I'm officially licensed to operate these now. The interesting thing is on the roof: batteries to power the engines (and other high voltage equipment)! From next year on, they are supposed to replace the Diesel powered trains on my main route (only slightly delayed by two years 😁).

A German class 1440 battery electric train, the part with the main traction batteries on the roof.

On the way back home from another great party weekend meetup. Another event by @zecora95.bsky.social and his team, and as usual, did not disappoint! 👍🍹🎉🎈 Thank you and your whole team for doing it again, for making it possible for us, and I would happily attend again! 🍸🍻🥳

Guess I could become a little more active here again. Gained new followers recently whom I'd never expected, I'm flattered! Thank you for not ignoring me :) So... while I wholeheartedly HATE morning shifts, today's the last one for a while. Tomorrow, it's off to a meetup, finally again: ...

Main team leader this time wasn't me but @npn-pnp.bsky.social, he also did the artistic setting of the plushies. I was thinking of retiring from PlushieCon for quite some time, maybe I found my successor for PlushieCon...?

Mostly skipping Bluesky this weekend. I'm at the "Pinkie's Chocolate Rain Party (PCRP)" meetup, meant driving and partying yesterday, more party today and driving back home tomorrow. So no time for Twitter, I think you might understand :) Will, however, soon do the PlushieCon acc.

The White Storks have left my area one to two weeks ago while it was still hot summer. Apparently they already knew what was coming: a steep temperature drop of more than 20K in only two days and now endless heavy downpour with an announced flood. Wonder how they knew it.

Railway Dash @railwaydash.bsky.social · 18/06/2024

Just realizing how much luck with the weather we had @everfreeencore.bsky.social . Here's a thunderstorm with heavy downpour rn. If we would've had this at the EE... we would've drowned in mud, and the campsite probably would've had to be evacuated bc of danger of ⚡⚡⚡.

Today, a rare Black Stork (Ciconia nigra) has arrived! Chased away the White Stork from the nest and conquered it. It's highly unusual for Black Storks to nest so close to humans. We'll have to wait and see if there will indeed be a Black Stork couple this year in town!
