That sounds amazing! I got back to reading quite recently. „Katabasis” by R.F. Kuang is my latest and it’s pretty good

You’re giving me ideas. Maybe I should buy a slay coat to not suffer in this cold as much and be more excited about it?

Yeah. Thanks for clarifying! I’m not following US politics very closely.

Overall, I feel like our society has dumbed down because of the content we are fed constantly, and the moment something isn’t presented in laymen’s terms, this „too intellectualised book” argument comes up.

010

raichieart @raichiee.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

The science parts of the book make sense in the context of who and what this story is about. Nothing is too complicated but everything is explained as best as it could be. I saw people preparing a whole must-read-to-prepare-list before even touching Katabasis. That is extreme!

raichieart @raichiee.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

This is so dumb. You can’t takle all problems at once, so naturally one must take priority. Trans people’s problems will have to take priority eventually. I hate this „who is suffering the most” competition… You can speak up about one issue without putting other struggles down.

I’m half way through #Katabasis and I am loving it so far. I’ve heard lots of complaints about this book – that it’s too difficult, overly intellectualised and that is feels like a science thesis more than a fiction prose. I must disagree. #books #rfkuang

Sounds like an out of touch take but what is the context of his statement? It must refer to something in the political news sphere I’m not up to date with.

Rai is my sona based off yours truly. I think she deserves a new character sheet. Her backstory is slowly coming together as I incorporate her into my art. Curious where that takes me #sona #charactersheet #ocart

Thanks hahahah I think I found the artstyle but I struggled with fabrics and other materials still. I certainly improved but there is a long way to go till I’m truly satisfied with my work
