forgot bluesky existed .. here’s john sleeping on the job #oc #originalcharacter #ocart #historicaloc #ww1

Digital drawing of a character, John Grimstead. He is dressed in a World War One trench coat with a Red Cross arm band. He sits down with his arms crossed over his chest, shoulders scrunched up against the cold. In one hand he holds a lit cigarette. He has dark auburn hair streaked with white, he wears glasses, and his nose is bruised with a bandage over it. His breath fizzles out of his nose around him and into the cold air.

Wayfarre & Gravespoil is part 2 of my “Passing the Time” story that most of my ocs belong to. #art #originalcharacter #ocs #illustration #passingthetime #wayfarre&gravespoil

Digital illustration. The scene is typical dreary day on an Irish shore, a salty spray crashing against dark rocks. On the left, a harbor seal rests itself against these rocks. On the right, a woman, Evelyn, looks off to the left, frustrated, but not quite sorrowful. Her curly golden hair is beaten by the brine, swept by the wind behind her back. She is dressed in a brown walking jacket and skirt with a red necktie, also windswept.

I’ve found I actually really love writing alt text for my work?? I love writing and it’s like a fun exercise to see how accurately I can describe my work while also getting the right feeling!

I would like to start posting more oc art here so here’s John and Max! #ocart #originalcharacter #historicaloc #artist #illustration

A digital drawing of a scene in front of a fireplace. The fire glows warm, reflecting off of the mantle surrounded by bookcases. On the mantle sits a clock and various cabinet cards. In the foreground, two characters sit in armchairs, drinking tea from steaming cups. The character on the left, John, is a lanky middle aged man with graying red hair. He wears blue striped pajamas and a green cardigan while he reads the newspaper. With one leg crossed, he seems nonchalant. The other character, Max, sits across from him. She is young and androgynous, with short dirty blond hair. Sitting up in her chair, Max gives John a skeptical look while she sips her tea.

first holiday without either of my guys! I miss em lots and it’s weird not to come home to a dog, but I really appreciate the time I had with them. Boo Radley and Dewey!!!

An old shih tzu peers at the camera through cloudy eyes. Despite his age, he stands up straight and chipper in the grass on a summer day. His gray and white fur is cut short and his pink tongue sticks out of his toothless mouth. He also sports a stylish blue tanktop.

A medium-sized black dog stares at the camera expectantly, perhaps waiting for food. The gray around his muzzle and eyes shows his age, but that doesn’t stop him from begging. One of his lips is caught on his teeth, making him look slightly displeased.

The previous two dogs sleep soundly, sprawled out on a bed with a white blanket. This time, the little dog wears a blue, orange, and white tie die shirt. The dogs are close enough to show that they like each other, their butts touching ever so slightly, but they clearly don’t like each other TOO much.

The next few years are going to be tough, but just remember what Anne Herbert said: "Libraries will get you through times of no money better than money will get you through times of no libraries." The best time to join your local library is right now - if you have not already done so!
