Plus medical workers are already covered by the law that this bill is an extension of, so if it did what Shirley claims it did he'd have already violated the current law with his hospice video.

It seems like a pretty weak protection since to be charged it has to be proven you intended to cause harm. So Shirley would have to like reveal someone's home address and tell his viewers to attack them to violate it.

That's not what the bill does. It extends qualification to apply to the Safe At Home program (est. 1999) to immigration service providers. Workers who have been harassed can apply. It protects their home addresses and penalizes people who publicize that info with intent to cause harm.

It's sad how everyone is taking his word for it about what it does. It allows immigration service workers to apply to an existing program that protects their home addresses from the public. Does he really need to post a desk clerk's home address and incite a mob against them to investigate them?

The right put out a video that cuts out everything after Renee Good backed up and Jonathan Ross began drawing his gun but I think it demonstrates how much room Ross had to avoid being hit and how Ross' footage makes him appear closer to the car than he actually was.

You can see he has his hand on the gun while the brake lights are still on and he begins to draw it before she starts moving forward. He had to make the decision before that. He also had to switch which hand was holding his phone cuz he was holding it with his right hand as he circled the car.

MAGAs have published a new vid from across the street of 3 minutes before the shooting that they think justifies Renee Good's murder because it appears she's dancing as several cars pass by. It ends right as Renee is backing up & Ross is drawing his gun. Look how far he is from the front of the car.

Yes. If it was fired from a position where Ross was actually in danger that angle would not have hit Good. The windshield shot could have only hit her if fired from the side, which it was. And the other 2 shots have absolutely no self-defense argument.

I expected them to try to scrub the video from that phone & fight as hard as they could to not turn the phone over to any other investigative force unless it somehow happened to make them look good but apparently they think this does make them look good

I think they were counting on the "Woah!" and the camera flying up being interpreted as him being struck by the car and that's certainly how MAGA is taking it. But you can see clearly in the synced footage that he was already out of the way at that point.

He was already drawing his gun before she shifted out of reverse. He's already clear of the front of the car when he fumbles his phone. The sound is him shooting his gun.

What are you on about? They match up fine and show that Johnathan Ross wasn't hit. They put up a video thinking it clears them when it doesn't.

Right. For a self-defense argument to fly you have to be trying to stop a threat. Even if she did hit him, the threat was over by the time he shot. Revenge for almost causing harm isn't self-defense.

I synced up the video from the Johnathan Ross and a bystander to help show what was happening when he fumbled his camera. He was already out of the way at that point and already had his gun drawn. It wasn't him being hit, it was him shooting Renee Good.
