I don’t think I’ve ever realized this, but yeah! Hockey tends to take itself way too seriously. Thinking about most other sports, and players seem way more joyful or spirited while playing.

Another good point! If one listens to a genre specific radio station, there’s still a good chance they would never have heard this song. There are probably hundreds of top 40 songs from the past decade that I have never heard.

I think you hit the nail on the head. I’ve still never heard the song and had not heard of Langley until all of this nonsense started. If the writer of this piece is being genuine, they’re completely ignorant to the fact that most people don’t listen to radio anymore.

Finally got around to watching the season finale of Draw This, Then Die! and I was only crying for maybe one third of the episode. What a great series. 🥹 Definitely my favourite this season.

Went to another local Anniversary event for Gundam TCG last night. Went 3-1 again and managed to take 4th place and get another Show of Resolve card. For some reason my P/G deck performs well at events but I get wrecked at regular locals. 😅

Imagine that Petro Canada had never been privatized. Imagine that not only did we have more than the equivalent of over $10B in 1990's money in assets, we also didn't give away subsidies to private oil companies, and pay their cleanup costs.

Mulroney’s government privatized Petro-Canada in 1991, which at the time had assets worth over $10 billion (the government maintained a sizeable ownership stake until 2004). Mulroney’s government also paved the way for the privatization of CN Rail. Mulroney appointed Paul Tellier to head the Crown corporation in 1992 with the intention of prepping it for its eventual privatization. Tellier laid off staff and rationalized operations in order to make the Crown corporation attractive for investors. The privatization was completed under the Liberals in 1995.

Managed to place second at a local Gundam TCG anniversary event this evening. Only played against B/W SF at the final table. Game was close, but the better player won. Happy to at least have one of the Show of Resolve promo cards for the collection. ☺️

Went 6-3 at Gundam TCG regional tourney today. Best I’ve done at a regional event so far, but not as well as I hoped. Had some tough matches and probably would have benefitted from getting more practice beforehand. 😅

I see the vision! I’ll have to try building this after regionals. Here’s my full Londo deck in case you’re interested. I’m think I might swap 1 Kayra’s Jegan for another Kayra’s Re-Gz and cut the L4 Re-Gz for Penelope, but that idea needs more testing.

I run x2 Kayra Su to link with Kayra’s Jegan/Re-Gz, as well as x2 Delta Plus for the generic Earth Fed link. Helps in the early and mid game against aggro so they’re forced to swing into a rested Kayra. Also good against blockers or to break EX base on turn 3 if I don’t see Zaku II.

Draw This, Then Die! continues to be incredible. I love every episode so far. I’m reading the manga now, as well. I just wish I didn’t have to wait so long between releases of the official English volumes.
