Feels like using a HOTAS setup is the only way to truly play this game, I don't know how I could ever play using a controller Also I adore the podracer specialist, 10/10 inclusion no notes

Quoting art with fire on Working on my second Feora concept begins later today but I feel like I'll be hard pressed to top this one #nerdlings #miniaturepainting

Guess I'm gonna learn how to play competitively

Raff @raffcat.bsky.social · 11/10/2026

Aw man I used a heavy wash of the Decay of Death on my Death Guard and it's made some GORGEOUS texture with the slightly dusty matte finish. Gonna have to revisit this force and finish it soon, reason for the season etc

Raff @raffcat.bsky.social · 11/10/2026

Single wash of some of the Goons Grime and then a gentle once over with some spirits and a q tip has given a lot of extra depth to the skin that it just didn't have before, I then did the same with the Decrepit Filth on a gaunt and loved the results MUCH more

Gonna test out the Villainy Ink acrylics with the old Hive Tyrant of mine that I love but was never fully happy with Let's see what she ends up looking like

Slight issue with a duplicate bottle but have contacted customer support to see what can be done but I'm SO excited to use these

Cash has awoken so my progress is paused but I'm loving it so far #nerdlings #miniaturepainting #warmachine

Quick little set of progress shots as I worked on the NMM that I decided halfway through base coating that I was going to do lmao

Raff @raffcat.bsky.social · 10/10/2026

Alright, let's get started

Raff @raffcat.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

Mate printed me the epic Feora model and I'm so excited to paint her but idk if I want to paint her in my intended scheme or wait until my ink washes arrive and do a grimdark vibe. Luckily, he gave me two.

Oh we doing WINGS I need better photos of my hive tyrant #nerdlings #warhammercommunity

Happy #WipWednesday my competition piece is coming along slowly but I've added some details I was putting off adding and now I need to do the standard on his back and idk how I want it to look 🥲 #WarhammerCommunity #nerdlings

Raff @raffcat.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

More #Orktober! Adding the fluo highlights, need to grab a few extra colours but LGS hasn't had them in stock so I'm waiting for an order to come in now

020

Raff @raffcat.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Gonna let it dry tonight then tomorrow paint the details 🥰

000

Raff @raffcat.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Too wet to do much else today so baby Cash and I started work on our new Halloween tradition - painting a decoration so he, his mum, and I can put our handprints on the back and date them 💖 I used to dream of chances like this

Had my first game of Warmachine in about 12 years tonight, only had time for 1/2 the game itself though but it helped brush off all the cobwebs on how to play Probably won't get time now until next year for another game but that gives me more painting time 🤣

000

Raff @raffcat.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

LGS has a painting comp so I'm working on what will become a diorama of "I Really Wanna WAAGH! At Your House - In Parentheses, Oi'll Take You All Da Way To Da Golden Frone, All Day Way To Da Moon!" #WarhammerCommunity #Nerdlings #MiniaturePainting

Today was terribly hard but: - Received many compliments on my eulogy for dad - I got to watch my son roll himself over twice unassisted. - Finally unpacked my airbrush so I can begin working on my piece for an LGS painting comp - First game of Warmachine in 12+ years tomorrow night

I wanted it mostly finished before bed, dad's funeral is Monday and I'm finding it hard to lock in to do the things I enjoy ATM. Gonna try and make time tomorrow to take some better pics, basing, all that jazz. #miniaturepainting #nerdlings

Happy 4 year anniversary to the time an EB Games had a pricing error on a box of Double Masters, selling the entire box of 4 packs for $120 as opposed to $120 each and granting me one of the best pulls I've ever made.

I'm already bored of the Warhammer paint arguments

A clip from an old Australian TV add where a guy walks into a local milkbar and asks for milk.
The woman behind the counter lists off a bunch of different types of milk and he just looks confused and tells her "I just want milk that tastes like real milk"

The line has been altered to "I just want paint that tastes like real paint"

Took me almost my entire birthday weekend but I got 1/3rd of the Black 13th painted finally. #MiniaturePainting #nerdlings #Warmachine

So I'm not a fan of the OG Menoth paint scheme (mostly cos fuck painting that much white/cream) and I want some ideas for a different take on them. My old force was grey with red trim, but idk if I still vibe with it. Any ideas?

Birthday week and it's my first time having a birthday since becoming a dad, and my first birthday without one. So it's been a bit of an emotionally charged week, to say the least. A hard week, but a good one.

Bit more work on the starter set tonight, wanted to try for a glowing smoke effect and I feel really good about how it came out. Painting Tyranids for so long is leaving me hesitant when it comes to faces though, so might tackle that this weekend lmao. #nerdlings

010

Raff @raffcat.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

Still a WIP but I decided to go for the classic blue box art scheme cos I might donate this force to my LGS once my main armies arrive to help foster the scene a lil. @warmachinegame.bsky.social

010

Raff @raffcat.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

Help I have nfi what sort of colour scheme I want to do with these lil lads. Like the box art is blue but I'm not feeling it? So I'm stuck

000

Raff @raffcat.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

You see this, post a monster! Lawd I need to get this army back on the table
